Chamberlain Rn-BSN online starting 1/2/17

Published

Hi I'm starting Chamberlain's online Rn-bsn program on January 2nd 2017. Haven't been to school in years so I'm excited and nervous. My 1st class is Nur351. If you happen to be starting also please chime in so that we can keep each other encouraged. Good luck!!

Hi! I'm starting the RN-MSN bridge program (TOMORROW!) I've been a member here for a while but haven't posted in quite a long time (several moves and recently another new baby). Nice to meet all of you

Hello everyone Im looking for the right RN to BSN program I have never taken any online classes and Im not at all computer savvy but one of my friends goes to Chamberlain and says its not hard at all and she thinks I will do just fine. What questions do you have about the program? I just graduated in December in the RN-to-BSN track.

Hello everyone, I'm starting my first class on may 1st!! Ahhh! \I've been procrastinating for so long. I'm just not sure if I can do it. Anyone else starting with me? Anyone have any advise ?

I just finished my RN to BSN in december 2016 with 4.0 GPA. Best decision of my life! just follow the grading rubrics and you should be fine. downloading the PERRLA program will be helpful for your APA papers. liberal arts classes have tests and nursing classes are just papers. I took 1 class at a time for tuition reimbursement purpose. The hospital i work gave $8000.00 per yr so fortunately graduated with no debts!! Good luck :)

Ive been out of school for many many years..and never written a paper. I have no clue as to how to write a paper. I wish there was a class..LOL Thanks for your positive outlook and advice!

Im also planning to take one class at time for same reasons. I don't get as much reimbursement as you. Did it consume your time? How many hours did you spend a week?

I took my ADN in 2004 and went back for my BSN in January 2014 to December 2016. Needless to say I was very anxious and scared. However after taking the first online course I became more confident and realized that it was doable. I'm not good at writing either :D Try WhiteSmoke software or grammarly to help you with it. I took 5 courses per year so total 15 courses. I had to take beginning algebra (since I chose not to take the math placement exam) plus 7 liberal arts classes and 7 nursing class. I worked full time and spend at least 2 hours per day studying. But at the end, it was all worth it :smokin:

Yep me!! I also started May 1st and just taking one class this semester and two in July. How are you liking it so far? How many classes are you taking now?

N351 for this 8-week session and then Eng in the next 8-week session.

@Rthomas04 Must be nice for your Tuition Reimbursement to be $8000/yr. Ours is only $1K a year. Oh well! Congratulations!!

Rthomas,

I'm 2/3 of the way done with my BSN and taking classes 2 at a time. I have to take a history course with the Capstone. I'm curious, which history class did you decide to take and how much course work was it? POLI 330 nearly kicked my rear end!

Thanks for the input.
