Hi I'm starting Chamberlain's online Rn-bsn program on January 2nd 2017. Haven't been to school in years so I'm excited and nervous. My 1st class is Nur351. If you happen to be starting also please chime in so that we can keep each other encouraged. Good luck!!

Hello,
I just finished my second 8 weeks with Chamberlain. I took NR351 by itself just to get my feet wet. It has been over 20 yrs since I went to school. It is an easy A. Just finished Health Assessment and Poli Sci. On to Beginning Algebra ( over 30 yrs for math) to get my feet wet before College Algebra, and Informatics in January. You will do fine and the 8 weeks fly by.
The second 8 weeks I'm doing Health Assessment and informatics. Any suggestions for me for any of my upcoming classes? Nur351 or Health Assessmemt? I'm glad you're doing so well. There might be hope for me yet í ½í¸
Good luck on your upcoming session. I tested out of beginning algebra but still nervous to take college algebra. Guess I will throw it in there somewhere.
Just follow the grading rubic, that is what they grade by. Assignments were easy in both.NR 351 had a couple of assignments that were a fill in paper and had one paper to write in APA format, which I was new to also, and had 2 or 3 points counted off for again spelling. But in Health Assessment, my final project was a power point presentation. This was my first and knew from the start of class that was due. I ended up making a 245 out of 250 on it. I misspelled 4 words and went over it too many times to count. I researched power points on my own, they do have a presentation on how to do, but I found looking on my own was better. I had people at work tell me they would help me on my power point, but I turned them down, wanting to do it on my own.
Great job at powering through. Thanks for the tips. We can do this!!

There is a Chamberlain group on FB for RN-to-BSN, MSN & DNP students. PM me with your FB name and I can add you to the group.

I am a new member of allnurses (although I've browsed for the last 2 yrs) and I recently passed the NCLEX on 12/7/2016. I have applied to Chamberlain and I am hoping to begin on Jan 2 as well. Everything I've heard about Chamberlain makes me think it will be challenging but doable. I can't wait to start. Congrats on continuing your education and good luck and best wishes for the both of us.
Welcome to all nurses and chamberlain! How far in the process are you with them? My advisor was great and I'm happy that classes open Monday and I will be able to get a head start. I'm really excited. It will be great to be starting with someone. Please keep in contact and let me know if I can help.
Thanks I'm not too far along. I already applied and my ADN program has an articulation agreement so
i didn't have to pay for transcripts. My admissions rep is really nice too. I have to wait until next week to see what classes i can take because of transcript evaluation. I am so anxious to just start because after finishing ADN school and passing NCLEX I want to be done with higher education.
It's been about 6 years for school for me but I definitely want to get started and get done too! I'm sure they will get everything together in time so you can start in January. Keep me updated and let me know if you have any questions I can answer
I hope I can start in Jan... Btw have you ever done online learning before?
I have but it wasn't part of my adn. Just a couple online courses while I was waiting to start nursing program. Main thing is to have good time management.
