Chamberlain Irving

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Hi there I'm just wondering if anyone here has any experience with Chamberlain Irving campus? I have an appointment this week in the admission office but I'm having a hard time finding anyone with actual experience. I know the school is new but would love to hear from those that have already started.

Thanks

It's going pretty good.. the health promotion class took some studying just to familiarize with some of the terms at the beginning of my program as a lvn which was 14 years ago.. health assessment is not bad.. am going into week 5... patho take online!!!

Specializes in Med/Surg Telemetry.

Im'm starting classes at Chamberlain on the 2nd of January,2017. I had transferred about 56credit hour from North lake College. I will be taking trans to nursing on campus and Ethic online.

Hello! I am extremely anxious about my acceptance for chamberlain I'm hoping to get into their may 2017 program and I got a 90% overall and my gpa is i think a 3.4-3.6! Are my chances good? I hear from them Friday

monica2017 did you get in? I'm applying for sept 2017. also what all did you use to study for the entrance exam

Yes I got in!! Begin in May!! I used elselvior and just a lot of online resources! Studied about 6-10hours a day and memorized a lot! Are you applying to the irving campus??

Yes I'm applying to Irving campus. I go to open house May 9. Do you know if I apply in May will they tell me if I got in or do I have to wait until closer to September. I'm soo anxious. I'm planning to take the hesi May 16th.

ya they won't tell you until you take your hesi assessment; now, since you are applying for the september I'm not sure how long they will take to get back with you; it took them a whole week after i took my hesi to call me about my acceptance . They say their admissions boards meet every Thursday to evaluate the students

dont stress to much; well i sure did but the test ended up being a lot easier then i had planned because i haven't took chemistry in 4 years as well as for the other 2 sciences on the hesi!

HI everyone! I am considering Chamberlain and wondering if anyone can answer this before I speak to an advisor. It says online you need 24 credit hours excluding developmental courses, what exactly do they consider developmental courses?

I am planning to attend the Irving campus. The admission advisor will tell you what is needed.

Thank you for replying. Would you mind sharing your experience? Good bad and ugly! I had my appt today with admissions and it looks good, really small but I like that. I'm terrified to make the leap, its so expensive and I have kids so what if something happens and I had to drop out. Just very scary especially not knowing anyone in the program and their experience.

Curious ?? Did you graduate from the Irving campus ?? How was your experience ?

Hello

yes i just took my exit exam last week and scored 92%.

it has is ups and down the school .

i didn’t like it that much ; I self taught myself and my cohorts went through a lot of problems . Turn over for teachers are high. I liked the fast pace .

Yikes, thanks for the reply. I might have to research another school lol I’m not paying a school to teach myself.

Best of luck
