Hiiii!!! Just took the Hesi! How was your experience? Scores? What score does it take to get in? Acceptance stories?
I’m applying for the Sacramento campus and I’ve heard they are competitive! Really nervous!
Hi all!
I received a call on the 18th. I’ve been accepted into the January 2021 cohort.
I know how crazy it is applying to nursing school in California, I’ve been trying for 3 years!
GPA: 3.71 overall from my political science degree from Sonoma State University. (I want to later on assist in healthcare policy, and a lot of my research has been in the healthcare industry) 3.02 Science GPA (B+ Microbio, B+ Chemistry, B Anatomy, and B- Physiology)
I’ve had over 3 years of CNA and Medication Technician experience.
I really put my heart and story into my essay, which I think helped a lot. Good luck everyone!

Thank you!! I’m super excited. I think it could be potentially that I am higher “ranked”. They said I could possibly get into the September cohort if some people deny their acceptance. Either way I’m not complaining ? Also, I opted to be reviewed for September 2020 without the HESI exam scores.

I did not take the HESI but I have a 3.6 GPA. Higher ranked meaning GPA? I do know they look very highly at the personal statements .

Perhaps my overall score, a combo of GPA and personal statement, were very close to those that got into the September cohort. They don’t really explain how they chose, but it could possibly be sort of like a wait list in the event that people don’t accept? I was really happy that they took high consideration of the personal statements, considering the majority of CA schools are heavily GPA based. The personal statement really covers the student as a whole and their potential, including the opportunity to explain why your grades may not be as high as others.

I was able to log into the student portal and everything... so confused!
What is award letter ?
