Hello guys just wondering anyone else starting this fall 2015 at the Miramar campus?
No... for Miramar it's Royal Blue. Cobalt Blue is the other Chamberlains (they got new uniforms and we weren't allowed to. long story.) However, if you just tell uniform advantage that you're from Chamberlain.. most of the people working (especially at the one near the campus or at the one at sawgrass) can point you in the right direction. Most of us use UA.
lol. I was trying to put the faces to who is on this forum. I can only state the obvious nessa stand for "Vanessa" so it was most likely you lol. Congrats on the little one! I have an almost 9 year old little boy.
In regards to the uniform, I personally think the Colbalt, Royal and Galaxy blue all look the same. To play it safe I personally ordered online the galaxy blue because in orientation a student said the blue is Galaxy blue so Reginal said Colbalt or Galaxy. I saw a lot of royal blue when I went to the uniform store and figured its all the same. The pants were just too long and big that I ordered online. I didn't see not one tag in the store that stated Colbalt or Galaxy blue.
Thank you nursenessaxo!I'm sure you went to orientation today right? There were a lot of us so yeah lol. I still haven't received my account info for the student portal. I haven't done any paper work other than transcripts and financial aid. I haven't spoken to a financial advisor either. I'm dragging along but i hope to catch up in time for classes! I don't have a schedule or anything set up either lol.
Are you guys planning on working during the program?
Hello,
Congrats on your acceptance!
I will be working full-time for the first semester. If it becomes unmanageable then I will be obligated to quit and look for a part time. I also have a son that is in the 3rd grade. If you do not have any little ones, I can only assume it would be more doable. Of course it depends on the person because we all have different tolerance of what we consider manageable.
Thank you @Meeshie, for all your tips!
I ended up getting 2 pairs of royal blue at UA and then also ordered the cobalt ones online just to be safe. They seem similar. All I have left is to get a student ID and buy the shoes as well. If you have any suggestions on that please let us know(: Thank you!!
@melissawrigm Thank you! and yes you assumed correctly! lol Its going to be tough with our little ones but I'm sure we can manage (:
I was just about to ask about the uniforms but you guys answered my questions lol. Thank you!! i'm sorry for not remembering everyone at orientation. I'm sure if I were to see you guys in person i would remember (granted some of you guys have a photo of yourself here - i'm so bad lol i'm sorry). I only somewhat remember the people closer to me since there was quite a lot of us.
I have Transitions on fridays 9am-11:00 (30?)am, Patho I on Saturdays 8am-11:30 (then alternate saturdays from 8am-11:30 then it extends 12pm-2pm - i hope i read the time slots correctly) and then Ethics is online. I'm not too fond about that 8am class, especailly since I'm supposed to work fri and sat morning so I have to switch with someone but its okay! I don't know how to find the room number though. I felt like I struggled trying to find the times/days but it was obvious to go under the "view schedule" tab lol. I just didn't see the room number anywhere near it. I'm sure i'll find it.
As for the uniforms, i was thinking of going to UA in the pembroke lakes mall today but there's also an All Uniform Wear too. If most Chamberlain students go to UA then it might be easier so thank you for mentioning that Meeshie!
I'm glad I don't start monday since I have nothing ready. I have to get my ID this week so I might go tomorrow.

Thank you Melissawrigm!
I do not have any little ones at home except for my new 9 week old puppy. I can't compare that to children obviously because of the different responsibilities but so far I've been managing working and taking care of him so yeah. My parents were expecting me to quit working completely but I've been working and going to school for some time now so its habitual. I'll try to keep it to part time and just play it by ear. I haven't been in school for 3 semesters so my study habits are kind of rusty haha but i'll pull through. Thank you for the advice!
One last question about uniforms! I'm not sure if it was previously answered but I'll check again just in case.
When you're ordering the tops online on the bookstore, did you guys order the unisex white tops? It sounds like a dumb question but some tops specify it having the logo. So do all of them have a logo regardless? There's also one called "UNISEX WHITE FP 3PKT SCRUB SHIRT W/ CHAMBERLAIN LOGO " but it specifically says that the Miramar campus should order the white scrub tops. I was just a little thrown off on the website cause of the names lol.
I was concerned about the logos also. So I just ended up ordering the 3pkt scrub shirt w logo. They do run big, I ordered a small and it was pretty big so ended up ordering an x-small that I'm waiting for. But I was told by another student the x-small is really big also :/ sucks that they run so big, oh well.

Yea I am! wow you have good memory. Although there may be others who may have said the same. lol But yea I just had my first baby he just turned 6 months (:
By the way, I went to Uniform Advantage just now and ughhh I may have gotten the wrong color pants -_- I thought the color was suppose to be Royal Blue and now I see its suppose to be Cobalt Blue. Would you say its more or less the same? Or maybe I should just return them..
