Chamberlain College of Nursing Miramar Fall 2015

Published

Hello guys just wondering anyone else starting this fall 2015 at the Miramar campus?

The professor for Transitions is incredibly nice. You'll like her.

Hi everyone!

Just an update, I passed the HESI this past Saturday :D I received a call from Ada saying that they will put my application in review.

I'm having trouble getting transcripts sent over. I think my Broward College transcripts should send perfectly fine. I took 2 St.Thomas classes so they want to see that transcript. Unfortunately, i don't have an ID# account with St.Thomas University because I took those classes in high school and St.Thomas uses a 3rd party system to send out transcripts. Its just been taking forever and it makes me nervous. I don't want it to hinder my chances of starting in September since I've come so far lol.

I was told to attend orientation this saturday though! So I'm hoping that's a good sign. I don't have a schedule picked out and I haven't done any other paper work so hopefully my questions will be answered in a few days.

Congrats on passing the hesi!! Im sure your in and will be able to make it in time (: And them inviting you to orientation is a great sign!

Thank you nursenessaxo!

I'm sure you went to orientation today right? There were a lot of us so yeah lol. I still haven't received my account info for the student portal. I haven't done any paper work other than transcripts and financial aid. I haven't spoken to a financial advisor either. I'm dragging along but i hope to catch up in time for classes! I don't have a schedule or anything set up either lol.

Are you guys planning on working during the program?

Yea I was there. There were so many people I was surprised. My schedule is going to be Transitions in Nursing thursdays 2-4:30 pm and 2 other classes online. Im sure you'll have time to make it, its not much to do other than the hesi, drug test and fill out some paper work. Try to get everything done this week, and I'm sure you'll make it. I don't plan to work just because I want to focus on the program but I'm sure a part time job won't interfere much.

On a side note, has anyone got the uniform? The website confuses me a bit cause there is so much options. I plan to just get the shirt with them and get the pants at a store around here.

Hello,

I just ordered whatever options were available on the website. There was very limited options available for the tops in a small. I ordered 1 pair of pants from them and then found a website that has more "modern" fitting scrub pants. I don't know if you have worn scrubs before but I haven't and found for someone 5'3 you will need petite.

Yea im 5'2 so ill definitely need a petite then. Would you happen to know if all the shirts come with the logo? I only see one shirt on the website priced at 11.19 with the logo.

If I remember correctly they all come with the logo. I don't know if it just me but I am freaking out a tad bit because I don't have my schedule set in stone yet. I feel unprepared not knowing what is needed for the first day of class!

Are you not able to register online? I was able to register for transitions and another class online. The only one they didn't let me register myself was pathophysiology. If you are able to go online and try. And yea i know what you mean it seems confusing cause everything is so last minute.

I tried going on-line today but it's not allowing me to for some odd reason. I assume I just go to add or drop classes? I dont know if its because my transcript was received last Thursday.

Hmmm yea I went to add or drop classes and selected the september term. I actually just went on now and saw that they signed me up for patho online. idk if you submitted the sheet they gave us with our class preferences. Maybe they just enrolled you now if you did.

Yes, I completed and submitted the form. I will have to e-mail Ana.

Are you the one who in the intro stated you have a son?
