Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.
Ikegrad,How long ago did you apply? How long ago did you take the Hesi? I took mine on 7/25 and I still have not heard back. I think they are cutting it really close especially for a September start date. I hope we both hear something soon! Soooo ready to get started.I received a email from Chamberlain and was told that my file is under review and the process will be complete by August 17 and I should get a called saying if I have been accepted or not. I am so nervous and excited all in one! :heartbeat![]()
Akilah530,I'm sure your credits will transfer. I had 45 transfer credits. I don't know what they cover in orientation either. But in pre enrollment you will go over financial aid and your transfer credits. You will also schedule your drug test and that has to be done within 48 hours.
dalencia,
Thats wonderful that you had so many credits transfer over! Did they advise you of what transferred during pre-enrollment? How about loans/financing? Are you paying out of pocket? Or were you able to get everything covered via financial aid/loans? This is the one thing thats bugging me.
Akilah530,
I was showed exactly what transferred and that it would be about 2 years. They also showed what classes I would take each session for the rest of the school year. They show you how much financial aid you have according to your FAFSA and how much is left to pay for the entire year. Most of everything for me is covered by federal grants and loans. I cant pay the rest out of pocket so I've been looking into private loans. They recommended the Wells Fargo MedCap loan, so I'm gonna apply for that.
