Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta, GA

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

I'm hoping to start in September...just waiting to hear if I'm accepted. When do they call you for the drug/bacground test?

They call you for the pre-erollment, which includes the drug and background check, after you're accepted.

I wonder what are the transfer requirements? I was accepted here in Saint Louis but would like to transfer to the ATL campus

phrozenone, which lender are you looking into? I applied to sally mae, and what a joke they are! Stay away from them. They are giving me a 12% interest rate which is outragious! I then applied to wells fargo, and got a 7% interest rate. I defintely reccommend looking into all options.

It is hard to find ones that accept Chamberlain, and most of them run through Sallie Mae. Their website links to some banks that accept them. I know Chase and discover do not. Sometimes a co-signer can help lower the interest rate. Chamberlain has their own loan as a last resort as well... it's a higher interest rate and you have to start paying on it 30 days after starting it, but in a crunch or for bad credit, it is there :)

How did you guys find out about orientation dates? I haven't received anything except a phone call a week and a half ago telling me someone would call me to register, but haven't gotten one yet...

Thats the problem I was running into was finding a lender. I would reccommened trying Wells Fargo before Sallie Mae any day. Every review I read online was not good as fas as Sallie Mae goes. Also, wells fargo offers a heath professional loan with great rates and a 15 year repayment.

I have not recieved a call yet either. I wish they would hurry up, so I can plan my work schedule around my classes. I haven't heard anything on my drug and background check done 3 weeks ago. Both I know are good, but it still would be nice to know I'm set to go.

I also tend to forget to search for Chamberlain in MO lol a lot of loans are avail for that, but not Chamberlain GA :)

Speaking of that, when I appied it came up Chamberlain of Illinois. I just thought that was the main campus. I wonder if thats where the payments will go or what. I guess I just need to call Wells Fargo. Do you know if anywehre will give you the funds, and you pay the payments yourself?
