Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta, GA

Published

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

Has anyone ever experienced the rudeness from student services before? I am so upset with their changing of advisors every term without any source of notifications. I just cant stand their new policy from the front desk girl to most of the advisors. Is quiet annoying wish i had means to report to their manager.

Very true, recently their behavior towards students sucks. I agree with you but trust me there's none their manager can do, because she's rude her self. Last week the girl at the front desk gave a woman some unpleasant attitude which i feel should be reported and her advisor also got her upset. Is this not the service we pay every term? so why are they maltreating us? If they feel the task is too big for them best is for them to quit and allow someone else to take over that position. I also can't stand my new advisor now, She's my third and will admit the worse of them all, they changed her without even informing me and next was for her to call my phone to request for previous transcripts. Am like what? Thought transcripts are sent in before receiving an acceptance call? All the same lets ignore them and focus on our program.

Hi Tammie32...I just took the Hesi on June 28th and scored a 95. If you get the recommended study book then you should be fine...that's all I used. I'm pretty ok with Math, so for me that portion wasn't as difficult as I expected it to be. The reading portion in my opinion was very straightforward. If you know basic math then you will be fine (basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, ratios, and some measurement conversions). There are some fill in the blank on the Math section. Again, get the recommended study book and you should be fine. I had the book for two weeks prior to taking the exam, but because I work full time, have a 3 year old son and a fiance....I only got to study for maybe 3-4 days before the test. My file is currently under review, so I'm crossing my fingers that I get accepted....:nailbiting: You will do fine....best of luck!

I know right! They acts up whenever it involves money, i wish i can report this now before is too late. I need my old advisor back because we understood eachother better in terms of problem solving. The new ones are simple rude in my opinion

I love my advisor and the girl at the front desk is great also. I think it all depends on mutual respect. I took an interest in her, enough to know where she went to school and how she was doing in her classes. She is also great with my 2 year old son running around her desk, even to the point where she will entertain him with her cell phone.

S.G. Were the classes easy in general or easy because it was a bridge program and you were familiar with things already as a nurse? Thx for yr comments! Congrats on graduating too! :)

I found that much of it was review from my original nursing degree but the way it was presented and the class discussions were really what made it easy. The instructors did a wonderful job preparing us for the tests and papers that were due. They facilitated discussion and answered questions promptly and thoroughly. I've taken online courses in the past. This setup was the best I've experienced.

S.G. I hope so I have two classes online. I have a previous degree from Univ of Phoenix and all of that was online. I love online classes. I believe what makes them successful is organization on my part and the prof. So thx for yr input.

Is very easy but health assessment was quiet challenging made a B+ in fundamentals and c in health assessment, will advice u to take pathophysiology online now before september. Most friends that took all three ended up droping patho and some also Made F's. With Fundamentals please do the evolve questions so you understand the content of the exams, try and do the questions at the back of the book, the cd that comes with the book as well as the nclex 4000 questions to gain some ideas. Health assessment register with the pearson site, cd's and test your self a lot with your notes. Hope this help, am ready for clinicals, past 8weeks was very tough having 2 kids and a husband. Nursing school isn't a joke at all, am the type that easily makes A's in all the prequisites and now with C's and B's. Also get your books now and start reading before september, wish someone had adviced me earlier but all the same passed my classes. Good luck and please do not hesitate to inbox me with any questions.

Thank you so much. I've been getting mixed reviews patho.

Hello all. Just wanted to share. If anyone is taking Fundamentals, health Asst, and patho. Amazon has all the books for much cheaper than Chamberlain book store. I saved over $530.00 going the Amazon route.

Does anyone know how to get the school to certify a loan

I'm taking Pharmacology in September. Has anyone taken it online? Has anyone taken it at all yet? What are your thoughts?
