Hi,
Long story short, I failed out of my BSN at Chamberlain University 2 months ago. I was suppose to graduate next week. I have Appealed to the committee and president, but they declined. I am trying to use the credits I have which are all of them since I just needed community health and capstone. I was wondering what do I need document wise to challenge the nursing board to be approve to sit for my LVN license? I am curious for Arizona and CA. California has a method #3. I was wondering if anyone has further information or has gone through this?
Thank you,
Nancy

Unless a drastic change, (have not looked on the CA BVNPT site lately), there is a form that must be filled out by the nursing school that basically summarizes the hours, etc., that is submitted (along with the supporting transcripts)-------
This was the catch back when: Just because the state of CA BVNPT has this method for sitting for the LVN exam, does not mean the student can do it. The school chooses to, or chooses not to, give their blessing. You need to speak to the folks at Chamberlain. They do not have to support you in this endeavor. So be prepared for bad news or good news. It rides on Chamberlain's policy and how they want to treat your application for licensure.
Thanks for all your responses, there are a lot of things each individual can share, but I am aware of my faults and the steps I have learned to move past this situation. Whether or not anyone feels that I shouldn't be allowed to challenge and sit is your opinion. I was shy away of 2 classes of graduating with my BSN. I had a GPA over a 3.4, jumping back from failing two previous courses, which shown I have the capability to understand the information and use the tools I have learned to pass my courses. The last class I failed was due to some issues with my family issues which resulted into me failing. I don't really need to go into further discussion but at the end of the day, no one really knows what an individual went through to the result of failing and being dismissed from school. With that being said to move forward, I am asking for opinions of individuals that have done this option #3 and have succeeded or not. I appreciate others concern, but I wrote this post to see if I can take the LVN test, then do the RN program, and then take the bridge program for my BSN to have another opportunity to afford and become a nurse.
