Challanging cna exam in fl

Published

I am seriously thinking of challenging cna exam in fl any thoughts or suggestions

lorettap,

I checked Nursing Unlimited's website and only see information on their 3 week CNA review class (skills and exam review). I am going to give them a call Monday, but would you know how often they hold the 1 week clinical only classes?

Thanks for the information!

i am sorry i found out about the clinical skills lab when i went down there to talk to someone there was a flyer at the door i am glad you found the website i would give them a call

after this week the next sch class is april 20-april 23 it looks like they have this class once a month

welli just finihed the clinical skills lab@ nursing unlimited and i am very glad to have taken it it definetly gave alot of confidence i am sched to take the cna exam on april 29 and because i took the clinical skills lab i now have the ability to refresh those skills for the few days prior to my exam the instructor was great!!!!!!! i would def recomend the course it really prepares you for the clinical skills you need to pass the exam. wish me luck and pray for me i will let you know what happens

Good luck loretta!

I took classes in Ohio, then worked for a while but never tested. I am going to challenge the test down here in FL. I moved to PSL about a month ago.

I highly recomend taking some kind of clinical refresher because of the specific steps you must preform in order to pass i found it most helpful

well i was scheduled to take the cna exam today i was unable to take written part because my drivers license had my maiden name in it and when i applied i did not include it. so i had to call my husband to bring me something minus my maiden name. well he got there in time for me to take skills portion now i have to re- register to take written exam so learn a lesson your name must match exactly and i passed the clinical yeah!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that tip because I have my maiden name hyphenated with my married last name so I don't want to get it messed up!

On a side note-this weekend will be my last weekend of classes and I DO NOT see how anyone could just challenge the skills test without having some sort of training at all! I am a fast learner and all but there would be no way.

St Pete has a 2 weekend class called Florida Medical Prep. It is where I went and it was great! I would NOT recommend challenging the test because the skills test is something you will not pass if you don't learn it. Each skill has AT LEAST 10 steps (some skills 20 steps) and you have do do each step in order and correctly. You complete 3 skills out of 21 skills that you are trained on and you do not know what those are until you step into the room with just you and the person testing you. The multiple choice would seem like common sense but there are some answers that all seem like they would apply but you need to chose the correct answer. Tricky. Good luck!
