I applied for charity for fall 2006. Since the hurricane I know everything is messed up, but I hope I can still have a chance at getting in for this coming fall. I called charity today and they said that they have to make a decision by January 23. So I just have to wait a few more weeks to see if I get in. I have been back and forth to charity since I returned home from atlanta. They lost my application and pax scores. I had to go fill another app out and bring a copy of my pax scores. Anyone one else hoping to get in fall 2006???
:yelclap: Happy dance!!!!!!!!
Just got a call from someone who verified that I was accepted and that the letters did go out before Mardi Gras. She thinks we should have them (depending on where you live) by tommorrow or Saturday.........:roll
Good luck everyone.... update us on your responses......
who called you and what is charity's website? thank you
I assume that Ms Egers forwarded my email to the person who returned my call. Her name is Ms Riche. I think that she is the Dean of the evening division.
Delgado's website is http://www.dcc.edu

CONGRATS NOLA :balloons:
It is for the Fall/Aug class... the April class was not offered to me. ... and that is probably for the best (I understand that April is the accelerated course).
Thanks larryrachel, Cmunst45636, and mskede.... Even though I know, I still want to see the letter..... I will be going to the post office tommorrow morning and will let you know if I finally get it... If I do, you guys should get it on the same day.
I can't wait till everyone gets theirs-- so we can share our excitement together....I think we could all use a few more "positives" in these trying times......
Again...thanks for the good wishes..I can't wait to express the same to you!

Hi,
Most people complete all of the pre reqs before getting into Charity program because the process (pre-Katrina) took so long (about a year)... It has to be faster now- after Katrina. They have pre nursing counseling now. Check out the web site under students and pull the list down for the pre nursing advising. There is a calendar posted of where/when the advisor is located at at any given time.
The website has been working on my end all day... give it another try.
Also call admin office for Charity and ask for an admitt packet- they are really good mailing that out quick... It will have everything you need to know in it... good luck
