Chairty fall 06 applicant--anyone else??

U.S.A. Louisiana

I applied for charity for fall 2006. Since the hurricane I know everything is messed up, but I hope I can still have a chance at getting in for this coming fall. I called charity today and they said that they have to make a decision by January 23. So I just have to wait a few more weeks to see if I get in. I have been back and forth to charity since I returned home from atlanta. They lost my application and pax scores. I had to go fill another app out and bring a copy of my pax scores. Anyone one else hoping to get in fall 2006???

Anyone have the "CD" yet for

T1 notes

Hey guys, This is Amy C. I posted a few weeks back. I had pinning in January but OFFICIALLY graduated this past May 13th. Officially done school:roll I passed boards the first go-round with ALL the questions. (That is a totally different story I can tell you about later) I am still living here in Florida. Anyway, I see you all had registration. Who did you all get? I saw someone had Ms Manieri. I had her, she is good. Tell her I said HI!!!! Just wanted to hear who you all got. You all sound so excited and running around to get books and uniforms (ugh) and stethescopes. I remember how excited I was. I went www.allheart.com and got this silly pen that looks like SC injection syringes and the ink is red ( I am such a dufus). That feeling lasted about 5 minutes but it comes back after you graduate and get your first job. There I was again, at the store getting my white pants and colored tops and white jacket with "Amy Cano, RN" on the left side of it. All crispy and excited,, ready to go. Thought I was gonna pass out when I got my namebadge with RN on it and talk about that first paycheck :bowingpur

It is all well worth it. Let me know your updates. I am so far away from home and always come to the Louisiana thread to get back updated.

Good Luck

Amy

Any suggestion on where to get a good copy of the T notes?

Hey ANG 1021, I just sent you an email but I will write on here what I wrote to you. These T notes are notes someone named Teresa made a LONG time ago (it was shortened to T-notes). They are extremely accurate and you will notice that some lectures are word for word. The teachers do know about them and know you use them. They don't do anything. Anyway, you won't fail without them but they are very helpful if you miss class, are late, leave early or the teacher is going too fast to catch everything. They are everywhere. That first week of school many people will have them and pretty much everyone in 2nd - 4th level. All you need to do is ask someone to make you a copy or if they have a DVD-ROM, ask them to burn you a copy. I had a t notes cd with all levels on them. I am not sure where it went in my move to florida. I do , though, have a very LARGE box here named "school stuff". It has all my binders, notes, some printed out t notes, books, and old test questions to practice with;) I did not know anyone going to start so I brought everything with me. I know you all want to be my best friend now. :blushkiss Anyway, I have no problem sending my stuff to people (after I remove names etc etc). I just do not know anyone. I want my stuff to help people. So, let me know.

Hi Amy,

Do you recall if anyone in your classes had a yahoo page/group page that you could go to and share info? This is something that many of my classmates utilized throughour the past year and they were very helpful.

thanks

I dont remember any yahoo groups. After the hurricane, there was a yahoo page set up for all of us to talk to teachers to find out any info. I think it was a general "Charity School" post on the site. I went there a few times to check updates. I did not use it to talk to other students during the semester though.

Wish I could be more help!

Does anyone know if Psychology - Human Growth and Development is a required course?

It was listed as a required course in an information packet I received from CSN about a year ago. However, it is not listed in the suggestion course route on the back of the packet we received at advising.

I'm scheduled to take it this fall, but would prefer to take a fine arts(which IS needed) if I can.

Psych 127 is a required course .

It depends on what catalog you started with. I know it used to be required, but for the past three years since I've started taking my pre-req's it's not. Just Psych 127.
