  1. Must be all white closed in shoes. No open back or open toes. Can be white nurse shoes or all white tennis shoes.
  2. Go Saints!!!
  3. You may want to consider living in a city outside of New Orleans. There are a number of cities such as Mandeville, Covington, Metairie, and also the West Bank that are nice areas to live and in pretty close commuting distance from the city itself.
  4. Most of the murders are drug related and are usually drug dealers killing other drug dealers. There are areas of the city that are safer and have a lower crime rate you just have to check around with a real estate agent and they can let you know what areas are safest. I have lived here all of my life and feel safe. I just avoid the unsafe neighborhoods. I have no reason to go in those areas anyhow. Every city has a nursing shortage. I don't think our shortage is because of the crime stats. I think it's because many of the local nurses lost their homes and have not been able to come back for different reasons. The city is still in the rebuidling process but is coming back. I think New Orleans is a great city!! Hope this helps!!
  5. savanna0511: I just sent you a pm with the access code.
  6. I'll send you a PM with the access code.
  7. If you login to Blackboard you can enroll in CSN Library and the calendar is available under course information (NACI Spring 07). They have one for Day and one for Evening. You can print it from there and you will know your schedule!!!
  8. Thanks so much for the info. I'll probably have more questions as we get closer to starting school again. Enjoy your time off. :specs:
  9. Hi Lulu Bird, I am currently at Charity also. I just finshed my first "compressed" semester. I am now moving on to NACI, which is what you just finished. Who did you have for your clinicals? I registered, but am thinking of switching. Do you have any suggestions as to who are good instructors? Any advice would be appreciated. LMB
  10. It depends on what catalog you started with. I know it used to be required, but for the past three years since I've started taking my pre-req's it's not. Just Psych 127.
  11. Has anyone heard if the Spring 06 class will be starting? I am thinking that they are going to delay it a semester. I was looking forward to starting in January, but not sure if that is going to happen now. If anyone has any information, please let me know. Thanks!!
  12. Thanks, and congrats to you also. I am in the day program. I too am excited and nervous. Sounds like we are on the same page. I already have my Hep. B shots done and doctor has everything waiting in folder for when I come in to get TB skin test and other shots in late November or early December. I too am worried about parking. Are you in the day program also? I think we will also need to take a CPR class before the end of the year. It is only good for one year, so we have to wait until the last minute. That's what makes everything seem last minute is that a lot of things are only good for one year, so they want us to wait until the last minute to do them. Have you been to the website lately? Charity has added a lot of new information with everything in detail that is needed for admission. I printed it all out and put it in a binder so that I can keep track and make sure I don't forget to do anything. Good luck. Before you know it we will be starting. Time goes by so fast!!
  13. HI, I have been accepted for Spring 06 also. From what I understand, we will be able to register for our classes when Advanced Registration comes around Oct 31st through Nov 4th. We should be notified by mail prior to that with instructions on who to contact for an appointment with an advisor.
  14. Congratulations! I am in for Spring 06 daytime.
  15. I received my acceptance letter today for Spring 06 admission. Anyone else receive their letter for the day classes?
