I applied for charity for fall 2006. Since the hurricane I know everything is messed up, but I hope I can still have a chance at getting in for this coming fall. I called charity today and they said that they have to make a decision by January 23. So I just have to wait a few more weeks to see if I get in. I have been back and forth to charity since I returned home from atlanta. They lost my application and pax scores. I had to go fill another app out and bring a copy of my pax scores. Anyone one else hoping to get in fall 2006???
Hi everyone.
I got basics 304 and pharm 302. Anyone purchased their nursepak yet from the bookstore? I read the previous post about the stethoscope- someone told me that this might be included in the nurse pack. I know you can't buy one unless you bring your schedule with you to the bookstore to prove that you are a nusing student. Does anyone know of any local medical supply stores where we can get some of these items?
I found online a store that sells alot of this stuff: www.bestofscrubs.com
they have the scopes, scrubs, nursing stuff, keychains, hemostats, shoes...etc..
Just got my nurse pack as well... geezzzeee..... your right about there being hardly anything in there. I had 2 dressing change packs and 6 gauze pads and a vial of sodium chloride...
Bit confused.... when we met with the advisor- she said that there were going to be some kind of check off sheets in there. I asked the lady in the book store if this "was it" and she said yep- that was it..
Does this match what you have?
I have most of them as well. I have spoken to some NAC1 students that recommended to get them. I was just pacing myself so I don't go absolutely broke.
Some of the books that are recommended are required for the next level @ medical-surgical nursing....
Anyone have any ideas about parking for the semester? I know that there is a parking lot that charges about 5.00/day in/out by certain times...Anyone have any suggestions?
Yes that is what i was told about most the books. I dont know what i am going to do as far as parking goes...but if u have ne places that u know of i would greatly like to hear that info to. I really dont know much about the parking down there because everytime i go now i park on the street since the parking meters are not working.

I am an evening student also, I have section 373 and 371. I hate the fact that all of our class times weren't listed. I chose west jeff because I live on the west bank. Do you have an idea what time our clinicals will be? When I called the school, they said we may have to take some classes and clinicals in the day time.
