Chaffey college Fall 2018

Hello! I haven't found a board on Fall 2018 for Chaffey's nursing program, so I wanted to start one. Im hoping we can stay connected to see when letters get sent out/received and what not :-) Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I have those exact associates degrees! í ½í¸Š

My stats are a little bit different

Science : 3.43

Overall for pre requisites: 4.0

Teas: 78.7

Volunteer: 200+

But no healthcare work//not bilingual. I feel like so many people have those extra points :-/

Like you said though: let's hope the cut off is not super high! *fingers crossed for us*

Is Chaffey your first choice school as well?

Honestly though- I'm just hoping to get into one of the four I applied to haha. Mt. SAC was my second choice school - until I found out that their mandatory orientation is for the exact days that I have my family vacation (which I already bought plane tickets for!!)

Chaffey is my first choice since I have been a student here! I'm really hoping I can get into this program!

Hi, either of you hear anything yet? I know acceptance letters go out this week. I'm super nervous, really hoping I get in. It's only my first time applying.

No I haven't heard anything yet. I'm hoping we all can get in. This is my first time applying to chaffey too!

These are my stats:

3.82 overall GPA

3.52 prerequisite GPA

I've completed all pre-reqs (at Chaffey) including Math 401.

I have not taken my TEAS.

I am bilingual, no healthcare experience.

I've also applied to RCC nursing and RCC dental hygiene program. Hope we all get in!

Monique, any idea why you didn't get in last time? I'm shocked, since you have a 4.0 gpa on your prerequisites.

Chaffey is a lottery system. I've known people who had high GPA's and did not get accepted and people with the bare minimum GPA's did get accepted. I have heard they do take preference on students who have completed their classes at Chaffey and who live in the school district.

Yea, it's strictly lottery based. I took every single pre req at Chaffey also. And I do not think they favor people who live in their area based on people I know who have been accepted into the program, and where they live. I do know, however, that they do not like for their applicants to have any pre requisites incomplete. But- I had all of mine done. Sooooo who knows if they really favor anyone in the application pool. :-/

I think from what I've seen on past posts, they usually send letters out by the 5th or 6th. So we should know by the end of the weekend/beginning of next week.
