Chaffey ADN Fall 2023 Application

Published

Anyone else applying for Spring 2024? So nervous about my points as it's in the mid 40s! And they said they get about 500 applicants per period ?

To those who have taken the TEAS 7, can you suggest a good review material? Chaffey invited me to take the TEAS and I only have 1 week left to study ?

I also used Mometrix, and I bought the ATI TEAS workbook from their website as well. I also watched a lot of YouTube videos for the science and math sections. I also watched YT videos for the English and Reading to learn tips and tricks on how to answer those questions. It seems straight forward, but I found I ended up not answering right for English. Also tried to practice exams on the internet or through the mometrix and ATI TEAS workbooks.

When you applied at Chaffey, did you submit your TEAS results with your application?

It seems as though everyone who submitted their application with TEAS have a good chance at getting in. Maybe they're just waiting to receive everyone else's scores and rank em. I remember they stated about 50 pass into phase 2 and from the highest TEAS, 30 get accepted. I'm thinking I may just take my TEAS before next application period!

Yes I did submit my TEAS score with my Chaffey application.

2 more days until Chaffey sends out decisions ?

Ahhh good luck! How'd you do on your TEAS?! I'm anxious to hear if the others who hadn't heard back at all get in or not!

check your emails! I got an acceptance letter

I haven't received anything yet. The school said they will notify us on Wednesday 10/25

Posting for other people who may need to gauge points needed in the selection process in the future (although it is pretty variable between semesters). I just got my alternate acceptance letter and have been crying for about an hour now lmao. I just worked so hard for this. Did my CNA here at chaffey in 2019, even applied for the LVN program 2 years ago and decided to go for the RN when I got rejected. I did my time at hospitals and nursing homes throughout COVID, working in the ICU in the thick of it in December 2020. I have almost 7,000 hours of clinical experience as a CNA in the last 4 years, plus overtime I put in at the nursing home and only have 3 points to show for it.. I ended my TEAS with a 83.33% (15 points), ended my phase 2 with 72 points, and still only got an alternate offer. I'm trying to stay positive but I'm mostly just frustrated that I've worked toward this for 5 years and it still seems like it isn't enough. Sorry for my rant, I just really want to give up nursing right now.

I feel you, to be honest, I never got any email yet from Chaffey.

I feel you, I know how frustrating that must feel, but don't give up! If you can, have you applied to multiple ADN programs or just Chaffey? Know that people who were accepted will give up their spot due to being selected elsewhere, so getting an alternate spot is great and hopeful! I'm wishing you the best, I hope you get in for Spring 2024! *crosses fingers*
