Dear Suzanne
I hope that you will be helpful in this situation. I have had about the last straw with CGFNS, im awaiting my Visa Screen to come out and they are delaying terribly. I have been waiting for two months, and they have been saying for the time being that my UK license was on their file, also when i called up till yesterday they told me that everything was on file and it was awaiting review. On the computer i have looked on the status during this months and it has said Received but not reviewed. Today they told me that the nursing license was not received and on the computer where it read received but not reviewed up till yesterday it now says waiting to receive documents.
I have called today several times, wanting the logs of the conversations because i know that they have never informed me that the UK license wasnt there, and they have refused. Now they want me to ask the UK to send it again when i have a feeling that they had the document and lost it.
Is there something that i can do? The UK has sent me notification that the document had been sent to CGFNS and CGFNS all along has told me that the document has been there up till now. How can i protect myself? Do you think that filing a complain to the BBB is a good option? I have been waiting for many months for this visa screen and just now they have changed their story. Please if you can indicate me what i can do to solve this situation.
Thank you

You need to clarify a few things for me first. In one place you state that you have been waiting months for this, then in another sentence two months. When did you actually submit the applciation to them, and when did you complete the actual requirements for it, such as CGFNDS exam or NCLEX exam? It takes about four months for you to receive the Certiifcate after you have taken and passed the exams, for you only the nursing. It is not four months from the time that you first applied.

Given that RNs that are US citizens and living in the states sometimes have 2-6 month delays in getting another state to process their paperwork for endorsement/reciprocity, a two month delay for a nurse coming from another continent is not that bad.
