CES Report missing/lost?

Hi everybody,

I don't believe this!! After all the problems I had getting CGFNS to get off their b***s and issue my CES report to the State Board, now the Board have lost it!! Here's the story :

CGFNS sent me a FedEx tracking number and details of the package delivery, it was delivered to the Board on Feb 9th and signed for by ......... (I have the name). So after a few days I contacted the Board to see how my application is progressing, they say they haven't received it yet:rolleyes: . So I leave it a few more days and try again...............

To make a long story short, here I am 19 days later and they now say they can't "locate" the report. I am so angry, I've provided them with the evidence that it has certainly been accepted and signed for by one of their employees, but still they don't have it. I have contacted CGFNS to inform them of what has happened, they haven't got back to me yet. I can't register for NCLEX until my (elusive) report is evaluated.

What I am I to do? Any ideas anyone?

My personal feeling is that it is the responsibility of Florida BON to obtain another copy since you have proof that they received it, however, since this won't happen quickly, have CGFNS send out another copy to them............

This is one of the reasons that I always suggest NY for initial licensure for foreign grads, saves alot of headaches............

Tina I am so sorry to hear that - it really isnt acceptable but what can you do?? I agree with Suzanne and get CGFNS to send another copy..if you rely on Florida BON to do it then you wont know for sure whether they have done it or not. If you do it yourself - yes it is a absolute pain in the butt but at least you know yourself it will be done...

I just got off the phone with the Board, spoke to my usual contact, I make sure I speak to the same person at all times (maybe she'll get tired of me and do something!!). So anyway, she's gonna email CGFNS right now and ask them to fax a copy of my report to her. Hmmmmmmmmm.........watch this space.......:coollook:

Well, I'm very pleasantly surprised, they were true to their word and my CES report is now in the hands of the Board. They've reviewed it right away and now I have my eligibility for NCLEX!!

Onwards and upwards now to the next big hurdle - passing the d..... thing!:rolleyes:
