I keep coming back to this specialty. It intrigues me. Currently I am still a baby as far as my schooling goes (I am finishing my co-req's/pre-req's while waiting for clinicals to start in August). But as a student, I am a "non-traditional" one - 31 yo mother of three who has been a SAHM for 7 years.
My plan is as follows:
- Graduate with my ADN in May 2007, with honors
- Complete a BSN program online while working as an RN
- Get appropriate experience in ICU and elsewhere
- Apply for CRNA school in 8 years or so (when my kids are older and I can commit to the strenuousness of the program)
Do you think that is too long of a gap in my schooling? Any advice for me? I have read Nilepoc's sticky thread - awesome wealth of information. Thanks
