I found two websites for continuing education and specialty certification of Correctional nurses. Thought it to be interesting.. any taken these eams?
http://www.statepen.org
and http://www.ncchc.org/cchp
http://www.canyoncollege.edu
or maybe it is www.canyoncollege.com
I also think the canyon college course looks fantactic for continued learning and the cost is cheap at only 900.00 tuition, paid on 9 payments for 100 a month..
I am new to corrections and have found these sites very helpful.. check them out and let me what you think. I know the college is nonaccredited, but I have no reason or desire to transfer, Only want the course for personal satisfaction.
Comments please???
Thanks

If we are cerified, we receive a yearly payment of $180.
Should get one...some places won't even hire you without it

I too am interested in education/cert. pertaining to corrections. Has anyone take a Canyon College course? Their web page looks a little cheesy but the courses look good and affordable as mentioned. Also, how challenging is the NCCHP exam? Does it require a lot of prep?
Thanks!
