Cerritos college nursing fall 2018

Published

Hello,

I was just wondering did anybody else apply to Cerritos College Nursing for Fall 2018? Do you guys have anything to share about the application, or application process, teas, or anything ?

My mail has not arrived yet. I'm still patiently waiting :/

Hey guys.

What was your rejection letter like? Did it just say to submit the form to reapply?

Hey guys.

Yeah pretty much. It gives you till March 15 to get it in...

Thanks. Gotta re-evaluate and try to stay positive. Here's to next year...

I want aware that they choose for both semesters

Hi All,

I received my acceptance letter yesterday, Friday, May 18. The date on the letter is May 14, 2018, but my envelope was post marked May 16, 2018. I have been selected for Spring 2019. This was my first time applying to Cerritos College, but this is the second semester I've been applying to nursing school. For Spring 2018 I got 6 denials and for Fall 2018 I received 5 denials. I am hoping to speak with the faculty members of the Nursing program at Cerritos to see if it is possible to start Fall 2018 in case any of those selected for Fall decide to defer to Spring 19 or withdraw from consideration.

Does any one know or heard of that happening in previous semesters?

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I wasn't selected but congrats to all that made it in! Everyone that didn't get selected don't give up we will make it in somewhere! í ½í±í ¼í¿¼

Hey guys I applied last year got in as an alternate, but didn't get into the program for fall or spring. I reapplied this year and didn't even get picked as an alternate. I guess it really depends on where you land in the lottery. Good luck to all the alternates hoping to get in!

When you showed up for orientation what did they tell you?

Went to orientation, they went through all the info, we took a lunch and then they announced how many of the alternates would be getting in, they called their names (basically 9 people for fall, 5-6 for spring). My name obviously didn't get called, but they said there was a possibility that all of us alternates that weren't picked may have a chance to get in so to get all our titers and vaccinations done anyways.

It would've been nice for them to save all the names of those who were alternates that did'nt get accepted then decided to reapply and get them into the program the next year, but then I guess it wouldn't be a lottery.

How do they pick the alternates for the program? Do they also do a random lottery and decide who gets in? Or are they wait listed by number?

I got my rejection letter today. Good luck and congrats to everyone who got in !
