I have been looking for employment around the Centralia and Effingham area for an LPN position but they seem so hard to find. If anyone has any ideas as to where I should start please let me know.
Thanks a bunch.

My friendly suggestion is to post this very same question on the Illinois Nurses Forum with the hopes that you garner more responses.

Hmmm - when your title is central IL jobs and then you list Centralia and Effingham, I wonder where you want to look for jobs?
I live in central IL and there are plenty of excellent hospitals and other types of facilities. Will be glad to help you if I can.

As far as i know most hospitals here still hire LPN's. The only issue is most of the towns in that area (and mine) if they have a hospital it is small, rural and you pretty much have to know someone to get hired unfortunately. I suggest you try to network a bit, whether it be at your kids school, church, or local organizations. If you are new to the area that is the best way to start. If you are a hometown girl you probly wont have much problem finding a job. They are out there.
