Yeah regular doctor but I think we need a certain form to bring him/her so it's best to wait to do that after the orientation. Of course I'm only going off info from prior classmates.

Oh yeah, I wasn't going just yet. I had to get a ppd for my job, hopefully they'll take it since it'll be current.

I'm sure they will. I got my Tdap, pneuomococcal and flu. I think I have my hep B and mmr up to date but I need to look at my record. I do need a TB test though. Sooo much to do but it is exciting. Have you taken a look at all the stuff that comes in the nursing pack? Talk about a huge list.

Omg, I get a flu and pneumococcal every year at work. But everything else I'm not sure if I'm up to date. Yes I've look and it is a lot. That means we're going to be doing a lot. It's a year in a half right?

Yeah Im gonna talk to my doc to see what all I need but I'll prob wait till after orientation just in case. And yeah a year and a half I think. I feel like I'm a glutton for punishment because I'm excited to start nursing but I know it's going to be exhausting... Btw are you a CNA?

Me too, it'll be exhausting but worth it. And no I'm not, I work as a med tech(pass meds) at a retirement home. But I think you can work as a student nurse tech at the hospital after completing fundamentals.

You can. I was a student nurse tech at Baptist Hospital. I worked in intermediate ICU. It was crazy hard/fast paced, but I loved it. The underwear doesnt have to be white, it can be nude. They just dont want to be able to see it. Are the uniforms white? I thought I read navy blue in the syllabus. I know USC and Midlands changed their uniforms to red and blue.

Yeah someone last semester was saying you can work as a CNA after fundamentals. I might get a job working as one but really depends on how much time I'll have as studying will be my first priority of course.... I was just told white by the girls after their orientation from last semester. maybe we can wear nude but they didn't say. As for the uniforms I saw where it said navy but then I heard they were white and when I met with my advisor back in November they wearing white. Maybe they changed them. I really hope so.

I know last fall they wore white and you could still see their underwear through them. I hate wearing white for fear of spilling something on them. Lol

Are they scrubs or the old style button up uniforms? I hate those. lol.

I know the girls had a different top from the guys. I think the guy's tops were zip up and the girls were regular scrub top. I can't remember for sure

I'm really hoping they changed the colour to navy. Who knows I guess we will look like a bunch of milk men lol. I wish we didn't have to wait for orientation to find out everything we needed.
