Central Carolina Technical College

Hey everyone! I am just curious if there is anyone else that has applied to the ADN program at Central Carolina Tech this time around? I believe the deadline was March 16. I was wondering if anyone knew when we are supposed to get our letters as to whether we got in sent out? Best of luck to everyone who has submitted their package!

Yeah I was looking at those. I got my shoes already thankfully. I know orientation will tell us more. I just wish I wasn't so impatient lol.

I went to Midlands Tech. I went through the first three semesters. Missed passing Med Surg !! by one question on the final exam. I was heartbroken. My Final grade was a 79.98 but 80 was passing and they dont round up. The next semester they changed it to 79.9 passing. I need to renew my CPR cert. Mine expired in March. Where can you find the course sillabi? I am curious to know what our schedule will be like.

That sucks, the course syllabi is under the student tab and on the left side you'll see course syllabi, information and policies.

So who all lives in Columbia? I'm thinking about study groups and such

I live in chapin. Its about 30 mins away.

OK. lol. I still can't find it. I go under the current students tab? or to the nursing department site? I see everything but course syllibi.

When you log in to mycctc, then go to the student tab.

I live in Camden.....As for passing Llda1234 thankfully it's 75 and above is passing at CCTECH. Still crappy if you make a 74.4 since they won't round it up unless its .5 or higher buuuut hey at least they round up. But since I have pretty much told everyone in my life I will be MIA until I get through this program I have no excuse not to study lol.

Thank you Jamie. I finally found it. Brandy, I saw that the passing was 75 and that made me so happy! I looked over the syllabus for 101 and it looks very similar to Midlands. I actually was terminated from the program with a GPA of 3.65. Its crazy. That program is really hard, only 8% of the people who get in make it through. They are cut throat over there. I like that CCtech uses ATI tests and not their own made up tests. That was the problem I had with the med surg II class. Of course the school does have a 100% NCLEX pass rate so I guess I cant argue the curriculum. I have no doubt though, that I am meant to be a nurse. I never gave up on my dream and I was so excited when I saw CC would allow you to apply even if you had not been successful in another program. I have actually spoken to several people who transferred to their program from Midlands and did well so I am hopeful.

I have heard they are tough as well as USC but I have also heard while the testing is tougher students from CCTECH do better in clinicals because we get more hands on experience. Is anyone bringing their spouse or significant other to orientation? I was told it is a good idea to so they see how intense the program is.

You're welcome, no my husband work evenings so he can't come. Does anyone have children? I have a a 10 yr old and a 3 yr old.

Oh ok. My husband is going to try and come if he gets off in time. As for kids. I don't have any...I wonder what orientation is going to be like.
