Centennial College RPN workshop in July

World Canada CA Programs

I'm starting the RPN Flex program in September at Centennial College.

I received an email saying that they have a RPN workshop every wednesday evenings (6pm-9pm) at the morning side campus for three weeks in July.

I was just wondering if anyone else is going to RPN at Centennial and will be attending the workshop. it sounds really beneficial and i'm looking forward to going, was hoping to maybe get in touch with some other people who may be attending :)

You probably don't need:

Writing for Canadian Health Professional

Test Success: Test taking techniques for beginning nursing students

Medical Dictionary

Only because I've never had to use these books before, but as the name of the book suggests, it could be beneficial for you to have it. Medical Dictionary for sure you don't need it though, as you can google most of the content.

Fundamental of Nursing is recommended to be bought new with the online access code, since the code alone, if i remember correctly, is around $70. This is also the bible for the next 2 years in the program.

Interpersonal Communication, Becoming a Master Student you would need for Field class, but as I have mentioned before, my teacher allowed us to photocopy and hand in assignments out of the Master Student book. Otherwise, he/she would expect you to rip out pages in the book and hand them in.

Understanding Human Anatomy and Physiology is another reference book you should keep after you're done with the Anatomy class the coming term. It helps with Patho class as well.

Thank You!

I know Fundamentals comes with an online access code to MyNursingLab. But do you know what website the Interpersonal Communication code is from? I heard its from MyCanadianNursingLab. And if you happen to know what the differences are in the websites?

Also, are you in the flex program? Or have you graduated?

Thanks :)

Not sure where it's from, but i've never used it yet. I'm going into semester 3.

Was this workshop only for the flex program? I got accepted for the regular program in February and I never got any information for this. I would have loved to go :( I am so nervous to start in September and I feel like the workshops would have been beneficial.

It was for both flex and full time RPN at centennial.

I'm starting flex in September.

I'm a little confused. Are you starting in September (a couple of weeks from now) or in the winter? Maybe there's another workshop in a couple months for winter students?

I start this September. I had simply meant that I had received my acceptance letter way back in February. Sorry for the confusion haha.

That makes more sense lol.

I received the letter as an email.

However you should be covering a lot of the same stuff as the workshop did during orientation.

Hi, I want to ask a question regarding the admission test! Is the test mandatory for all students?

I have applied for flex program on Jan 2016 and I have sent an email to the college they said you might be have English proficiency test to find out which english course you need to take, but all the student who got accepted they had the admission test too.

Please let me know what have you been done?

Thanks

Yes, its needed for most schools. Your marks is aside, they will be looking at how you do in this test. But then again, it depends on your school.
