Nipissing RPN to BScN blended program
I agree that Nipissing University is better for clinical placement locations if you live on Ontario. Each school has pros and cons. I heard that with Athabasca, there are not true deadlines in courses. It's more go at your own pace, which requires motivation. Clinical placements would be in Alberta. With Nipissing, courses are semester based but clinical locations can be up to 100km from your home address. Sometimes clinical is cancelled because Nipissing often does not have priority to facilities outside of North Bay. Both programs are online besides clinical, which can be doable when working full-time.

Nipissing RPN to BScN blended program
Hi Eva, have you tried Centennial? I believe they have a bridging program for IEN students. There's also Mohawk College, Nipissing University (online program), and Conestoga College depending on how far you can travel. I was in the same position with a failed course and am out of luck for all schools in Toronto. George Brown/Centennial/Ryerson don't allow any failed courses. But Centennial might for the IEN program.

Nipissing RPN to BScN blended program
Hey, I applied in the beginning of May and have yet to hear back. I checked on my account under "admission status", but it says no decision is made yet and that they mail the admission decision. I hope they mail the decisions soon since it's almost August.

33 year old Mature Student
I never wrote the test but keep practicing to feel more confident. Watch videos on the Khan Academy website. As for being a mature student, 33 is young and there were people in their 50's in the RPN program.

What is it like being on the waiting list for RPN?
If your plan is to bridge after the RPN program, I would recommend Humber. Humber has a bridge program that only accepts Humber RPN graduates. There is also the 2nd entry program but you need to have attended university.

Human anatomy and physiology exam tips
Hey, I don't have study tips but if you don't mind me asking, how much did each course cost? I have been looking into taking extra courses through Athabasca but saw that each course is around $800. Is that correct?

nipissing university RPN to BScN blended option
Hi, just wondering how the program is going? I am thinking of applying for September 2018 or January 2019. I have heard the clinicals can be cancelled last minute or where you are placed depends on the majority of where students live. Have you experienced this?

Worried. 3.0GPA after 2 terms RPN @ Centennial College
I guess I worded myself incorrectly! I don't have a poor attitude nor was I tryin to be rude. I should've said: what other options are there to bridge to RN if I can't at Centennial? And I'm wondering if you find it difficult to go to school while working? Sorry!

Worried. 3.0GPA after 2 terms RPN @ Centennial College
Just wondering: What exactly do you do if you can't bridge to RN? Are we then only PN for the rest of our life? Also, are you working while going to school?

Thank You! I know Fundamentals comes with an online access code to MyNursingLab. But do you know what website the Interpersonal Communication code is from? I heard its from MyCanadianNursingLab. And if you happen to know what the differences are in the websites? Also, are you in the flex program? Or have you graduated? Thanks :)

Ontario Registered Practical Nursing Programs- Mohawk vs Niagara
Hello! I know this is an old post... Did you get into any of the PN programs? How is it going? I am going to Centennial College for PN in September 2013. I had applied to Humber, Durham, George Brown. I had no luck with all 3 and Centennial was my last choice. And I actually had so many issues with Humber. I had applied to the General Arts and Science - Health program and PN program. Both required to take a Math and English test and the PN program required that and Biology and Chemistry test. I went to do my English and Math test for the General Arts and Science program in which I didn't do well in English but fine in Math. When I came back a few weeks later for the PN testing, it said I was exempt from taking the English and Math again. They were going to use my score from the General Program! I then had to fight with them to let me redo it and they said it was my fault because I should have received an email to only come to the PN testing in which they would use that testing for both programs. I never received any email. Ultimately they said for me to wait and see how my Biology and Chemistry test goes and if I pass then I can redo the English essay. I ended up failing the Chemistry test by 1 question.
