Hey everyone, CONGRATS to all of you on the acceptance and I wish you the best of luck! The application for the program is opening again in about a week and I had a couple of questions. Did you guys have to submit your portfolio as part of the online application when you first apply? What format did you have for the volunteer experience- resume style with short descriptions or essay style? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

@FH23, thank you. Yes the portfolio will be uploaded in your application, but it cannot be over a certain size. Mine was, so I had to keep playing with it and shrinking it and then trying to upload it again. For volunteer experience, I did just do resume format and then just bold points of what I did at each place. Not sure what others did, but it worked for me. Make sure to apply in the first 24 hours. Good luck!

Hey guys! CONGRATS to everyone in this cohort's process -

I'm interested in applying to the Fall Cohort - waiting for the portal to open up - a couple questions:

1. If I request recommendations to be written now - do I need them to specify which position I'm applying for or can they make it out generally that I'll be a good fit for Cedars Sinai --

2. Which positions opened up during this cohort?

3. Is critical care one position or do they separate ER and ICU positions?

1: so you get to put your top two choices of units when applying to cedars. So I say keep it general to why cedars, ( I would ask for one that also doesn’t specify which hospital so it can be used for other applications too!) most of us did get our first pick to interview (you only interview for one unit) but some people did get their second choice.

2:if you scroll up, there should be a picture of all the units they interviewed for and hired from.

3: there was no critical care units that were open for our cohort. But if it were to open, it will be separate. And once app opens, it shows you all the units they’re hiring from so you can pick two to be considered for.
