Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

Did anyone waiting for the final decision from cohort 2 get a rejection email for today's application? I did around 8pm and I have no idea what to think of it.

Did you reapply for cohort 3?

Unfortunately I also received a rejection letter at 8pm yesterday, the same day I applied. I have a BSN and I updated my profile as well. I'm not too sure what the criteria was for this round's app. I just want to know what rejected me so quickly. Guess it's time to move on, good luck to everyone! :)

I'm so sorry to hear that some of you guys got rejection emails! I haven't gotten anything one way or the other. My cohort #2 app still says "Open," but my app for cohort #3 says "on hold." I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. :nailbiting:

Nursai- maybe it is a good thing?? They may not need to consider you for Cohort #3 if they are planning on hiring you for cohort #2! I hope that is the case! Good Luck! :)

Has anyone called yet to ask if they are having a cohort #4? Or has it been canceled? :(

My Cohort #2 App is still "Open," and My Cohort #3 App is "On Hold," as well. I'm just hoping, praying, wishing, crossing my fingers and my toes! LOL!

well today has been another long, slow day. Anyone hear anything about cohort 2 hiring decisions?

I hate the post-interview waiting game! It's been a week now and friday will be 10 days, which is when some of us were told we would hear by. It sounds like cohort 1 had 3rd interviews on a friday and heard by the next wednesday, so were already past their time frame. I think I'm over thinking this haha :)

I think the holiday may be pushing it back and remember they weren't dealing with another cohort when we were interviewing. I just got my email today for my physical and to sign my contract etc so they have a lot on their plate this time around. I feel your pain though...waiting is the worst. Hopefully you all hear something soon

I just got a rejection email for cohort 3. I made it to interview #2 for Cohort 1, but I guess Cedars really isn't right for me. Hopefully there will be a 4th cohort!

I also got rejected from cohort 3 last night. Hopefully today is the day we hear about cohort 2! Good luck to everybody.

Well, they're at least sending out the rejection emails for Cohort 2; I'm bummed to say that I got mine this morning. So no news might be good news if you haven't heard. Good luck to everybody still in the running!
