Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

mine says "on hold" too. I don't think we need to worry.

Did anyone notice dates for cohort 4 weren't listed? Is this the last cohort?

That was Crazy! It was only open for 15 minutes. I barely got my application in! Good luck to everyone that was able to submit!!

@stephiam, they did not list any dates for cohort #4, but my understanding is that there is supposed to be one in September and we apply in July. Maybe they cancelled the last cohort? who knows!

Ya I have the application date written down for cohort 4 but didn't see it there so I'm assuming it was cancelled. Maybe they already hired a lot for the other cohorts!

How many applicants did they take in the past 2 cohorts? Also how fast did they get back to you? The email said they will notify us in the next 30 days. Goodluck to the 100 that got through!! :)[/quote']

1st cohort they took 250 applicants. I applied March 21st and did the phone interview March 29th. My friends applied to cohort 2 and they only took 150 applicants that time. This time they only took 100. Those are really good odds though considering they only choose 25. Good luck everyone!

Sandy Mickey- what time did they call you at? And try hired 25 just for cohort 1? I wonder if its the same for all the cohorts...

I am in the same boat as you all! I have had my phone on, charged, and at my side all day...no call yet! Every time I get an email notification, my heart skips a beat, thinking that it might be a rejection! Gahhhhhhh!!!

I am wondering how many that got interviewed from cohort #2 reapplied for cohort #3, since we haven't heard back yet? I think it would be so much better for both parties to notify applicants before the next app opens. That way we don't suffer not knowing and they don't get a bunch of us reapplying who may not need to (fingers crossed).
