Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

Laurbaks: I think it went ok. My 2nd interview felt better but this one wasn't bad. I was taken off guard when she asked about a time I broke the rules. I guess we will see what happens. How did you feel?

Hi sandy, I was just wondering if you can tell me what type of questions were asked by the managers in the final interview? Also, was it panel?

I'm hearing people are getting emails for the 3rd round. I was wondering, from the ones who got an email, did you guys have any RN experience yet?

Sue_RN - no, I do not have any RN experience. Graduated with BSN (2nd BS degree) in August 2012 - only have volunteer experience in healthcare.

Hey guys! The last interview with the nurse managers isn't bad at all so don't sweat it! I felt like it was the same as the second interview but easier!! Pretty much, it was me talking a lot about myself. Also, its one-on-one; no panel!

I got an email invite to the 3rd interview next wednesday, the 22nd! That was really quick haha

Check your spam folders, thats where mine was!

Thanks gastro2012! I was thinking that I wouldn't hear until Monday! Mine was in the spam folder too! I am so excited!

I'm hearing people are getting emails for the 3rd round. I was wondering, from the ones who got an email, did you guys have any RN experience yet?

Sue_RN: I graduated in December 2012 with my BSN. I have not had any RN experience yet and no volunteer other than what I did during nursing school.

gastro2012 and those of you who got the invitiation: Did your email have an email address for the person you are supposed to RSVP to? Mine didn't. I called to get the address, but haven't heard back yet.

mine did have an email address to RSVP, but as I mentioned in a previous post, when I rsvp'd, I got an auto-reply that the person was out of the office from 5/13 - 5/20, so not sure what to think about that.

Thanks neenarn. I called them, because gmail blocked the sender's address and it looked like it came from a 3rd party server. I just wanted to verify that I was sending to the correct address. I spoke with the sender who said just to reply and it is getting to him, he also suggested copying the person who sent the first invitation (-----------,who is out of the office until Monday).

I just wanted to cover my bases! :) Good Luck!

From what I understood from a previous post, there were about 60 people interviewed at the event this past Wednesday 5/15, and they're hiring for 25 spots. Did I interpret that correctly? Makes me wonder how many they are asking back for the final round. I'm hoping these road trips are worth it :)

Definitely wondering the same thing! The anticipation is killing me. I really didn't think that there were only 60-ish interviewee's on wednesday. I thought there were more. But I'm soo curious about how many people are in the final round, especially with how fast they got back to us.

I'm curious how many are going to the 3rd interview also! Has anyone received a rejection after the 2nd interview, or not get invited to the 3rd?

I have not received either an invite to the 3rd interview on Wednesday or a rejection.

Seemed to me there were definitely more than 60 last week. I would guess 100-150 over the course of the entire day. Maybe 50-60 getting call backs for the 3rd interview to ultimately hire 25.

Gosh! I hope I didn't throw away something from my SPAM folder. :)
