Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

I felt like my interview went really well. I really liked the lady that interviewed me. I felt like I hit a lot of the more important points. She said that I did well, but it seems like everyone did. So, now we wait! She said that they will be contacting us Friday or Monday at the latest. :woot:

She confirmed with the ladies at the front desk that 50-60 people were interviewed and they are hiring for 25 spots. She said that they look at GPA and scores from the interviews. Those with a 4-5 average scores will get called in next week. To set your mind at ease, if you have a lower GPA, she said they look for a reason that it might be low and consider other aspects of the applicant as well.

Pretty good odds if you ask me! I hope we all get good news very soon!:up:

I didn't because I couldn't remember my interviewer's name! She told me her name, but I was so nervous I forgot it completely lol

I got an email invite to the 3rd interview next wednesday, the 22nd! That was really quick haha

Check your spam folders, thats where mine was!

Ah thank you so much gastro2012! (And congrats!) It was in my spam folder too -- hope this isn't a mean trick somebody is playing on us!

I thought the same thing at first also!...but this one is called a "manager interview event" and has a different time, location, and person to RSVP to!

Did you notice that it says 2012 and not 2013 though? Oh well, that's probably just due to a lack of proofreading. It was addressed personally so I hope that's a good sign! Does anybody know how many are invited for this event?

hmm where does it say 2012, mine says 2013 form what I glanced over....

I'm thinking i will call tomorrow AM to confirm this lol :)

Ok correction, of course I zeroed in on the only place it says 2012 (in the RSVP section) -- it says 2013 everywhere else! Sorry bout that.

I got mine too! Only thing that is weird is that when I RSVP'd, I got an auto reply that the person I replied to is out of the office until the 20th. Did anyone else get that auto-reply? I am also curious as to how many made this last round. Either way, so excited; and relieved that they didn't make us wait too long!

I'm hearing people are getting emails for the 3rd round. I was wondering, from the ones who got an email, did you guys have any RN experience yet?

Congrats! I was just wondering, what type of questions did you get in the final interview? Was it a panel?
