Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

Could be, I'm also up north. Yea HR wouldn't tell me when I asked a few weeks ago...

According to the thread from last year they said they accepted 80. Not sure if that's between all four cohorts or just the June cohort

Hi everyone! I also had a phone interview on April 5th and the lady I spoke to said they will be notifying us early this week if we are invited to the in-person interview. She also mentioned that they're going to be hiring around 50-100 new grads!

CaliRN07: did they tell you the day of the in-person interview? Did she say it was the 11th as well? And are the 50-100 for all 4 cohorts or just this one starting in June? Sorry for all the questions but I got no info at all lol

When was your phone interview? She told me they'll let us know by email.

Hi all,

I also got a phone interview, which made me feel exponentially better about myself, considering I haven't been getting any leads at all since I graduated from school. Do any of you happen to know if you can get a phone interview and not be invited to the in-person interview? This is a question I completely forgot to ask.

Hi Coconut, the phone screening does not guarantee an interview per the HR person I talked to. I hope they do give us some notice in advance since the interviews will be in 3 days!

Ok I'm going a little nuts checking my email every 5min hoping for an invite to the in-person interview....I check that and this thread to see if anyone has heard anything....so nerve wracking!!

Thanks for the info, Brighten! I was extremely nervous during the phone interview, since I actually had just finished another in-person interview when I saw I had a missed call. I've been checking my e-mail religiously as well!
