Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

Yeah just a résumé too. So what unit managers do you think we are meeting with? Just one from the specialty we chose or a random one or a few like a panel interview? Since they didn't do this phase last year I'm not sure what to expect

I've been trying to prepare myself for a panel interview (worst case scenario in my opinion). I figured they might pair us up with a manager from our list of units but I have no idea.

I'm really worried about what questions they might be asking. We've already been asked about lasix (like previous years have been). I wonder if they'll have other med questions.

I'm hoping it isn't too intense. I mean we are new grads so they know we have minimal experience. The open house kind of took me off guard. I precepted in mother/baby and want to work in OB so I hadn't thought about lasix and abnormal lung sounds in a while lol my assessments consisted of checking the height of the fundus, checking how saturated their pads were, and for cracked, blistered nipples hahaha very different

I'm at 9:30 and feel the same way....the anticipation is killing me. Good luck to us all.

Coconutgirl: I remember it posting to indeed at like 8:30pm....not sure if that's when they posted it on their actual website or not?

First interview today! Don't know how I did... No med questions just about you... :)

My person told me three are 125 interviews today for 25 positions. We should be contacted in about 2 weeks. Good luck everyone! Think customer service :)
