Cedars Sinai New Grad Spring 2022 Cohort

Hello everybody. My name is Bianca, and I'm a nurse residing in NYC. I started this thread for anybody who applied for the Spring 2022 New Graduate cohort and wanted to connect. I did not know this program even existed until yesterday when the recruiter recommended it to me after being ineligible for another position. With that being said, I wish everybody the best of luck and hope all of us get picked for our respective units ? (My 1st choice is Main OR and my Second choice is General Medicine, I think 8S- General Surgical)

After submitting your references, you should be getting an email from HR by Monday with a link for an online meeting (about the next steps in the hiring process etc). Then by the Friday of that same week, you should receive an email of the official offer letter.

I've known others who got it from the August 2021 cohort that told me. But I am not sure if it will change up this cohort.

I can tell you my timeline from last cohort: Jan. 4 interview (Tuesday), Jan. 10 (Monday) received request for references, January 14 (Friday) received offer letter. That was for the OR.

hi! Thank you for providing your timeline. My interview was Thursday and I received the request for references Friday. My references completed their end by yesterday evening. Did you a receive a confirmation email after your references completed their portion? Or was the next form of communication your invite from HR?

Hi! I didn't receive a confirmation, but you can check to see who filled out the survey already (go to the link, and it will tell you which ones are completed). I remember one person was taking a long time, and I only had 4/5 completed when I got my offer letter. It's a really good sign if you got a reference request. It's almost a guarantee that you will be offered the job! (I think you would have to have some really bad references or something that was incorrect on your resume to not get the offer). ?

Good luck! Yes, I am really enjoying the OR. It has a steep learning curve since we didn't get much of that in nursing school, but has been really good overall. The peri-op educators and most of the people on the OR units are very supportive and encouraging. I'm in the middle of my second rotation (11 more and then on to our home floor). ?

Nope! I saw on the portal that it updated to today's date but that's it. It still says "interview"
