Cedar... New Grad Program 2011?

Does anyone know if cedar sinai still has new grad program?

Congrats to those who got in! For those who got accepted what do we need to bring in during the appointment? Do we still need to order official transcripts from our school or the unofficial in the portfolio good enough already?

I was told to just bring two forms of identification. I later got an email telling me to also bring my licenses/certifications and a direct deposit slip or two voided checks if I want direct deposit. Nobody mentioned anything about a transcript.

For me, they asked for official transcript (lucky I always have a couple handy), DL, SSN, RN license, CPR card. If u want direct deposit, then 2 voided checks. Liza said they will explain everything tomorow when I'm there. The whole appointment will take up to 4-5 hours :-(

NurseVN, who told you that you need a copy of your official transcript? I wonder if we all need one because I wasn't told about it and I don't have a copy handy.

I was asked to bring everything you guys mentioned above, except the official transcript. I do have one though, so I suppose I'll bring it along just in case... :uhoh3:

Rita called on Monday to offer the position and told me to wait for someone to call for paperwork. Then Liza called me at 9 am next day to set up an appointment, confirm my email, and told me to bring stuffs that the email mentioned. Then at 5 pm yesterday, another woman (forgot her name) told me bring an official transcript and be prepared to be there for 4-5 hours for the appointment. Maybe because I didn't attach my official transcript in the folder. I used my unofficial because I didn't want to waste the official if they are not interested in me....lol....

I was given the same info and sent an email for confirmation. I was not asked to bring any transcripts, but will bring an official copy just in case!

I was also told to expect a package in the mail for the drug screening forms. Did anyone get the forms in the mail yet? I am coming on Friday to do the new-hire paperwork and was told expect 3-4 hours....!

Did anyone get assigned a unit or shift? ...or do we discuss that with the hiring manager....? I was told at the interview day that someone wil ask our preference so they can try to match us with a preceptor who has a similar shift. Did you all get that same information or something different?

I only used an unoffiial transcript for my portfolio too.

Just got the call. I'll be starting on Feb. 28. I'm not gonna lie, I had already given up hope seeing all of you guys get offered a position and I was actually in the middle of crying to my mom when Rita called.

Just checked my mailbox and received the forms in the mail that Liza was talking about. Don't forget, we have to complete this urine screen / forms before we show up to our pre-employment physical! I heard it would be around 3 hours too.. oh boyy

Hi everyone! Im one of those who did not receive the email last week. CONGRATULATIONS FOR THOSE WHO WERE ACCEPTED ALREADY. I would like to ask one big favor for the next person who will be receiving call, can you please ask them if not receiving that email last week would already mean "im out"? Thanks in advance!

I did NOT receive the supplementary e-mail everyone is talking about last week/this weekend and I WAS offered a position for Feb 7th yesterday-- I hope this calms some nerves, stay focused and don't lose hope.
