Greetings all,
i am coming to my fellow all nurses members bc i am due to sit for the ccrn in a few months. I was wondering does the laura gasparis dvd's line up with what is on the exam.
I have not to mention every study material known to man:laura gasparis's question book, aacn core question book, pass ccrn, study guide that aacn provided when you buy it from the website and i have made a person homemade study guide.
I am needing some direction as to how i should study.
Please any help is needed
thanks

Hey,
I only have the pass CCRN and the LG DVDs. I'm concentrating on the question bank for now especially the cardiac section.
How is your preparation coming along?

I am on pulmonary then I will move into cardiac. I purchased the test book from the AACN site. I am leaning towards taking the test by the 2nd week in February. I pray I pass as this will be my 2nd attempt. I'm listening to David Woodruff and Laura Gasparis as well as the online webinar review fromm Carol Rauen.
Lilhendy,
Good luck. I am studying the cardiac section now. My hope is to take the test at the end of February. When did you first take the exam? What did you find most difficult? I am very nervous about this exam as it is expensive and comprehensive. I am using Pass CCRN. Are the Carol Rauen videos free? Good luck to you.

Hi there friends ! I recenty studied and THANKFULLY passed ! I would highly recommend doing the AACN core curriculum question booklet and reviewing the answers carefully, many of my questions on my exam were almost word for word from the booklet. I also attending Laura Gasparis lecture and listened to her DVDs, however I do not feel that was really the best review. She tells you with a lot of confidence that certain things are ALWAYS on the exam and they weren't. The PASS CCRN booklet and DVDs were much more helpful especially with the interactive questions . Good luck everyone !!
Hey kncRN! Congratulations! Thanks for the study material tips. I have the Pass CCRN book and questions. I may have to invest in the AACN book. I only want to take this test once. Thank you.

Hi all! Just stumbled onto this question while starting to really really buckle down on the studying... and its given me hope! Good luck everyone!
Has anyone had any luck yet? I'm currently just doing as many questions as I can find... and obviously reviewing the ones I get wrong. Also will be reviewing/going over some material that I need to...
I feel that is what got me to pass the NCLEX -- as many questions as possible! so hopefully this will help...
Hi guys! I am still studying for the CCRN and using the Pass CCRN book and test questions. The test questions give you scenarios with patient information and data. Then on other questions the same data and patient information is presented, but a different question is asked. Is the actual CCRN set up this way? Anyone who can answer this for me would be a big help. Thank you in advance.

Doesn't matter. The content is still appropriate. Just worry about the objective date and what is asked.
