CCRI Spring 2016 Applicants! Who's with me

Published

I am applying to CCRI nursing program in August for the spring. Anyone out there applying as well?

I honestly believe that the new fall 2016 admission requirements will cause an abundance of 4.0 students to apply in the february application period. I know this because I am one but I will probably take a small hit on the hesi. I also know five other people applying in that period who just found out about the new pre-reqs and they are ecstatic. Unlesss people are applying in the high 180s they probably wont get in...I was confident and now I'm on edge :(

Really? What are the new pre-reqs?

Hi everyone! Was just wondering if when you go in to check on the status of your application if all of the rows in the column say 'completed.' All my rows say completed except for the last 2. One of them is for a high school transcript and the other is hesi writing. Just hoping I am not the only one with those 2 rows blank!!

All my rolls say completed.

So I just called enrollment services to check on those rows that don't say completed and they're fine. But the woman told me we would definitely hear by the end of September! At least it won't be October lol

Is anyone taking micro this fall? If you've already taken it, how challenging is it in comparison to anatomy and physiology?

Yay that's good, but I am taking it too. I have heard that it is definitely easier then a&p.

Question for everyone. So just in case I don't get in this application period. For January I also have everything completed, but my English and psychology was transferred from another university so how would that work with the points?

I'm taking micro this semester. Im definitely hoping it's easier than a & p

Hi, I'm waitingtoexhale because this wait is killing me! I've applied to Newport/Lincoln with 171 points. I've been checking and my eval was pulled three times today, the last at 4:40. I'm praying no one applied with more points than me in the last week. Selfish, I know, but I'm running out of time to get this done.

For those wondering about micro's degree of difficulty, I found micro to be much easier than phys. However, it's my understanding that the requirements will change in February, and micro will no longer be a prereq. Is it still needed to graduate?

Yes you need micro to graduate. I'm not sure how much stock to place in the number of times degree eval is pulled. Mine has been pulled 16 times throughout the month of August including 3 times today alone...many of the time it was pulled the same day only minutes apart. I'm thinking its a computer system doing it. I'm applying with 194.9 points if that's any reference for how many times everyone else's has been pulled

I would guess that since today is the last day to apply, that they have run the program multiple times to include all applicants in the tally? I'm praying I make it in this round, I already had to take 2 years off due to giving birth to my twins. I was a little peeved that the prereqs had changed, as I slugged through phys and micro while pregnant - not fun. However, if I still need the classes to graduate it makes me feel a bit better about my lower scores. Thanks.
