2014 CCP Nursing Program

Published

I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?

Thanks! I did a new form checking School Employee. I just dropped it in the mail.

Ok hey everyone, its been a while since my last post because I was so occupied with A&p1 and work. A couple of weeks ago when I checked this thread there was a frenzy about registering and it got me freaked out thinking I wouldn't be able to get a schedule of my liking. So, I tried registering also but I kept getting a error message. I went to a allied health advisor and she informed me that no one can register until orientation and those that are registered may have their classes dropped before orientation starts on may 6. I also asked her about the physical exam and the shots needed and she told me to wait until orientation when the requirements is discussed in full detail because if done too early the shots may expire before the duration of the 2 yr program. Now please by no means consider this information written in stone. because I'm sure most of you know that there are only a select few in that room that knows what's what as it pertains to the nursing program. But at this point after speaking to 2 different allied health counselors I have no choice but to wait. I'm Just passing down what I've heard to my fellow nursing students. God if feels great to finally be considered a nursing student!!! anyway as far as the orientation packet goes, I'm sending out my child clearance tomorrow and I'm done with the rest. does anyone know how much the uniforms and supplies will add up to?

Thanks for the post. I signed up for the classes on the day they posted the classes. I checked my classes on the fall and I am still registered for the nursing classes. I read on the previous CCP 2013 thread about the health form that we need to fill out and we will receive everything on the Orientation Day. Uniforms and supplies will cost up to I think around $500. I also read that people recommended to but just the shirt and the jacket and we can buy navy scrubs somewhere else. I have a classmate who was in the program and drop out but reentering again. He said the same exact thing. So, I might do the same.

I'm soo excited for orientation!!!! Not looking forward to finals in the upcoming weeks :/

I feel the same way about finals. I can't wait to get them over with. :nailbiting:

Ok guys I just did cpr, first aia training at my work place.. I dont know whether ccp would accept the certificate

Hi kayfactor,

I don't see why they would not accept it. Is it the BLS certificate from the American Heart Association? I am taking the course tomorrow morning.

Yeah it is the AHA BLS certificate

So what physicals?

Hi Kayfactor,
