I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?
I completed the course with Dan Saturday. He is the instructor from the paper in our orientation packet. There were 6 of us and 5 were CCP students 4 starting in September including myself. The class was 65.00. He is going to have sessions at CCP campuses starting May 8th. Times and dates are below. You can register on the website. The class was great. He is a really cool instructor.

Aleia,
We performed one person CPR on the adult, child and infant. We also performed two person CPR. This included using the AED as well. We took a 25 question exam at the end and he reviewed the exam and explained any questions anyone got wrong. We received our certificates that day and our cards will be mailed to us. Oh we also performed clearing obstructed airways. He literally covers everything that once you take the exam it is a cake walk.
oh lord, can we get one through the school because the health insurance at my work place is $170 per month and that is too much. I just hope they have their own health insurance package for students that is cheaper
I suggest you go here http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/?allid=Goo38305&sid=sep&omni_medium=cpc&gclid=CPO5sdLaib4CFWuhOgodlw4APA
I got insurance through my dad since I am still under 26, but we got our insurance very cheap. He pays 280 for 3 people (health + vision). The prices varies but I believe you can get it for less than that. I did a general search and for short term health insurance you can pay 60-90 monthly from UnitedHealth One (we have this).

I will probably do CPR in mid May after the Orientation.
