Hello Everyone,

Wanted to get this started for those who have applied to the program this year and want to get to know other applicants. I was accepted into the CCP nursing program for the 2012 fall semester start date. I attended until 6 weeks before the semester ended. Sadly I had to medically withdraw from the program so in order to continue I had to reapply and start over again. I am hoping to get back in this year. I look forward to talking to other people who have applied and get accepted.

I have 50 credits at ccp and ,they accepted all my credits + i will get $14 thousand scholarship. Do you know more about this college?

Hey Basma,

Congrats on your acceptance. I am in the same situation as you. I have 43 credits right now and when I start GMC I will have 52 credits, all of which will transfer. I am going for the BSN program because since I have all these credits I can finish in 3 years instead of four. One thing you should know if you do not know already is that GMC requires you to attend full-time. So even though you have all those credits you have to maintain fulltime status. If you are not planning on attending for the BSN program and only going for the ASN you will need to either Minor in something or take some bull shiz classes to maintain 12 credits. Its really a stupid rule but its what they require. My original plan was to only take 2 classes at a time and even doing that I can still get done in 3 years but I received a call from my admissions rep telling me I have to take 12 credits regardless. So just be prepared to be required to maintain 12 credits. Also in order to receive the scholarship you have to maintain 12 credits. I also received the 14k transfer scholarship. I was planning on not taking it because of my part-time status but since I'm required to take 12 credits I will be getting the scholarship. If you have any specific questions let me know and I will be happy to answer them. My friend got her BSN from GMC so I'm pretty familiar with how things work.

Hi!! Has anyone heard what the date in May is for orientation? I need to request to be off from work and it's driving me crazy!

Does anyone study A&P I at night in summer but change your mind not to study? If so, please let me know cos I want to register for A&P I class at night but currently, there is no seat available for that course. Btw, I just checked my.ccp.edu and realized that my curriculum changed to Nursing. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive the official acceptance letter from CCP since your curriculum changed?

Mine changed on my CCP last wednesday and I received my letter on monday. I think they mail them out on fridays. Congrats!!! I'm so excited!

Keep checking to see if anyone drops. Also right before class is going to start the school tends to drop anyone who is not on financial aid or the payment plan for lack of payment. You will notice a few slots open up then.

If anyone wants to buy my stuff I have 2-medium polo shirts (never worn): $20 each and 1-medium jacket (worn 3x) $20

I never wore the polo's because by the time clinicals rolled around my pregnant belly was too big to fit so I had to buy a plain white polo and wear the jacket over top so that no one could see it didn't have the ccp logo on it. I can drive the stuff to you. your gonna save almost $30.00 The polo's come to about $28 with the ccp discount and the jacket is $30 with the discount.

Have you guys done the FBI criminal background check yet? For FBI criminal background check, the school will access to the database of 3M Cogent to view our records right? The copy which we will receive through mail is an unofficial one right?
