2013 CCP Nursing Program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hello Everyone,

Wanted to get this started for those who have applied to the program this year and want to get to know other applicants. I was accepted into the CCP nursing program for the 2012 fall semester start date. I attended until 6 weeks before the semester ended. Sadly I had to medically withdraw from the program so in order to continue I had to reapply and start over again. I am hoping to get back in this year. I look forward to talking to other people who have applied and get accepted.

My physical is scheduled for July 5th so ill probably have to give them the 2 step shot verification later. Hopefully it won't be a problem

The 2 step ppd's are done one week apart from eachother so it really isn't a big deal. Its the Hep B and Varicella that take awhile if you need them. Hep B is a 3 stage shot, you get one then have to wait one month for the 2nd, and the 3rd is done 6 months later. I think they want you to have at least one if not 2 shots done. The Varicella is two shots, one month apart. Don't worry about the timing. There were people that in September still didn't have all of their stuff in. They will harass you about it during the first few weeks of school if you are missing something.

The nursing group is up and the book list is posted

I start my nursing program in Fall 2016, still far from now.. but can any current nursing student share any advices to get through the program? such as study methods.. I'm pretty nervous because I heard that the work are very overwhelming.
