2012 CCP Nursing program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has received their acceptance letters for the fall 2012 program yet and if so how many points did you have?

Hi all!! Does anyone have information on where to get an affordable physical and titers done? Any information would be greatly appreciated...thanks!!

Great advice!!

Just accepted an offer for a part time clerk position at St. Mary's hospital in Langhorne! Excited :) I looked for months and didn't hear a peep from anyone. One night I asked God to put me where he wants me, and the next morning was contacted for an interview. I don't believe in coincidences.

Thats so awesome!!! Congrats!

On another note has anyone received anything from Advanced HealthCare in regards to their uniforms, etc.? They are driving me nuts. I ordered some shoes and a few other things as well as the uniforms since it was free shipping. They shipped me black shoes instead of white, so I shipped those back. A few days later I received the white polos and they are do not have the community college logo on the side, so I called today. The woman couldn't tell me if they are supposed to come with the logo's so she said she would call me back. If they don't have to have the CCP logo on the side I'm going to be so mad I spent the money to buy it from them when I could of just gone to Target and got a polo for 10 bucks. I'm pretty sure I will be shipping those back but the rest of my order is back ordered because of the nametag and won't ship for at least 2-3 weeks. Mind you they are out of King of Prussia..I could have drove there 20x and got my stuff in the amount of time its gonna take to receive the rest of my order. Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the stuff because if I have to ship it all back again who knows when I'll be getting it. Hopefully no one else has all these problems.

Hi, im new here!!! I have some questions, does anyone know which health insurance is cheaper, the basic covarage? for the nso , are choosing the option that says nurse practitioner-student? have you guys found any clinics where to get shots cheap? thanks

I've also been experiencing problems with the uniforms. I haven't received anything yet. I also called a couple weeks ago to cancel the scrub pants because they fit horribly and I found a place where they have better ones. The lady took my information down (I had to spell my name like 20 times and she sounded about 100 years old) and told me she would call me back the next day when the warehouse was open, and I haven't heard anything. They seem really confused if you ordered at orientation because we don't get a confirmation number like if we had ordered online. I'm sure the polos are supposed to come with the CCP logo. I'm going to try calling them again this week. What a pain!

Yeah I got a call back that the polos are supposed to be embroidered so I had to send them back. The pants do fit terribly. Now that you said that I think I may send mine back and ask for a refund. I don't understand why we couldn't just have normal scrubs. There is a uniform place by my house that I may go check out and see how much some regular navy scrub pants are. Have you started your new job yet? I sent the woman I interviewed with a follow up email just thanking her for the opportunity and everything. That was today, hopefully I hear back soon.

I didnt even order my uniform yet. I guess I should get on that. lol. I think the paper they sent me said we have until June 14th to place the order. I think i'm just gonna order the shirt and jacket because the pants are terrible. I'll get navy scrub pants somewhere else.

I called the uniform place during office hours and had no trouble getting someone, and no problem cancelling the pants. Be prepared to repeat everything about your order to them, right down to the sizes you ordered and the card you used.

I really hope you get that job. Do the hours work into your school schedule? Keep us updated.

I don't start the job for two weeks since I had to give notice to my full-time job. There's just has much red tape to go through to work in a hospital as there is to go to nursing school. I lot of it I had to repeat. It's a very part-time "as needed" position. There's no guarentee of hours, but it will be a great experience and will help a little financially. I'm excitied.

I recommend ordering as soon as possible because the embroidering takes a long time and the name badges are back ordered. I ordered the day after we went to orientation and with all the problems with my ordered and everything I still don't have my shirts and my name badge isn't due to arrive for at least 2 more weeks. Those people have no idea what they are doing over there so just in case they screw up your order I'd give some extra time.

Thats awesome! I'm so happy for you. The hours vary depending on what I am available for...which is great. Since it is a hospital and its 24 hours, they have 3 shifts. The woman I spoke to said her daughter was doing 2, 16 hour days while in nursing school so that she wasn't working 5 days a week but was still able to get a good amount of hours in. She said the faster I pickup the job the more hours I will get. Its per diem so I don't get any benefits or anything but like you said its great experience. I hope they call me this coming week for a second interview. I'm crossing my fingers.
