Ccc nursing program: Fall 2013 City of Chicago

Hey Guys/Girls,

I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2013 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. Please post if you have any info on when acceptance letter/email will be sent. I think this will be helpful for applicants as far as how the acceptance process is coming along as well as support through the waiting period.

I was in contact with Malcolm's director last week. Apparently they were swamped by paperwork and what not for the graduating class. She said she'd be sending out information soon. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. I hate having to rush to get things done :/

Yup, that's basically what they've been telling me too; that they've been in the process of sending stuff out. Hope it isn't much longer. If you two get emails, let me know!!

I was accepted to Daley and recieved all of my health forms on May 9th... I really wish that I would have been accepted into Malcolm X

where do you guys recommend to go for the Health and CPR requirements ? cheaper and faster ,,,,,,,,,,,help needed

Malcolm x college. $40 for cpr... for the health requirements just take your regular pcp all of ur paperwork.

I went to the excel occupational clinic in bedford park. Their prices were cheaper than all the others i looked up online. They provide all the health reqs. You dont have to set an appointment, just walk right in! You can call them for the exact prices, or you can pm me and ill tell you.For the cpr reqs, go to chicagocprtraining.com. You have to get the 50 dollar healthcare certification.

I'm not sure about malcolm x, but the people accepted to daley have gotten a couple emails about the health requirements and the documents we have to turn in. Are you emailing the director of nursing for all the colleges, or the director of nursing at malcolm x?

Yea i was accepted to Daley and I've received emails regarding all of the requirements as well as the uniform sizes, prices, & a date for fitting. I would think that all of the schools would be on the same page but apparently that's not the case .

I was accepted to Daley too, but Truman was my first choice and Malcolm x was my second. Do u know anything about the Daley program, and how good it is in comparison with Truman and Malcolm x?
