Ccc nursing program: Fall 2013 City of Chicago

Hey Guys/Girls,

I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2013 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. Please post if you have any info on when acceptance letter/email will be sent. I think this will be helpful for applicants as far as how the acceptance process is coming along as well as support through the waiting period.

I believe it will be around April 10 when the acceptance letters will go out via ccc student email. As far as I know they accept according to your GPA. They start with the highest GPA to the lowest until all the seats are filled.

I'm excited to finally be in the process for this! Does anyone know whether they calculate transfer courses into the GPA? I took my English and Math courses elsewhere and Bio and Chem at a CCC but they only asked for a CCC GPA on the application.

Waiting till 04/10 will just about kill me! =/

Yeah they calculate all of your courses, they use cumulative gpa. Your cumulative gpa includes your transfer courses as well.

hey guys, new here! i will receive my LPN this july in Iowa and am planning a move to the Chicago area a few months later. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the ccc lpn to adn bridge option.. pre reqs, waiting list time, start dates? any information would be helpful, thanks!

City Colleges of Chicago - Nursing A.A.S. Requirements

Is anyone transferring a lot of credits? My transfer class have yet to show up on the CCC site and I submitted my transcripts the week before Feb 10th. When I called Olive Harvey they said that they have 60 days to evaluate them, I think that's ridiculous!!! I hope this doesn't hurt my chances of getting in.

@Krober88 I actually transferred some of my credits but, I did it ahead of time just because CCC seems to be a bit unprofessional with doing things in a timely fashion. I would call and speak with a supervisor and tell them your situation. Good Luck

I'm starting to get nervous as well. Around two weeks ago someone called and said that they didn't have my TEAS results, I freaked out!! I had to email them my results so they could put them on file. I guess it's good to know that they've started reviewing apps already!
