Hey Guys/Girls,

I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2013 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. Please post if you have any info on when acceptance letter/email will be sent. I think this will be helpful for applicants as far as how the acceptance process is coming along as well as support through the waiting period.

They are accredited by the higher learning commision, but not through NLNAC. According to the dean the program does not need to be accredited by NLNAC for your credits to transfer to a 4 year university. But I guess im cool because I got accepted to daley.

appreciate your interest. When reviewing each application, we found one or more

of the criteria were not met with your application such as:

1. An established CCC cumulative grade point average.

2. A CCC cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or

higher.

3. ATI TEAS V or ATI LPN STEP score of 60 or higher.

4. Science courses have

been taken within the past 5 years.

5. Application, Background Check and ATI exam submitted by Feb 10,

2013 deadline.

6. All pre-requisite courses are complete by Feb 10,

2013 deadline.

7. The background check result was positive.

I am having a hard time understanding why I was not accepted because I know for a fact that I have met the criteria for all. I even quadruple checked.

I'd give a call to Dr. Gurney and find out what's the problem. Even if you turned in your transcripts they may not've been evaluated and put into the system on time...can't hurt to call or send email for clarification...Good Luck!

i didnt get in, I had a 81 on the TEAS but my gpa is just above 2.7 so I'm not very surprised. Good luck to all you ladies!!

Not to put the horse before the carriage, but for those working full time and accepted into Truman, has anyone taken a look at the Fall 2013 schedule of classes? Does anyone have any idea of how to make the 5pm classes work? Other than quitting the job?....Is there a possibility that the hours might still change?
