CCBC FALL 2019

Published

Hi all!

I just submitted my application to CCBCs Essex Day program for Fall '19. I immediately felt like I was going to puke! (hopefully this is a good indication?!) Anyway, I would love to connect with other applicants, so we can worry together.

Hoping to hear back from some of you!

Aly

This is the best comment I’ve seen in this forum so far. You give me genuine hope. Congratulations!!!!

@still_waters

Thank you so much for giving me hope. I really needed that. So far, everyone has been giving me horror stories about the nursing program and trying to work. Did you use any outside study resources that made a huge impact on your success? Congratulations!!!

@ElKerrie

They scare you but there is not need to be afraid. The program is doable as long as you put in the effort. Its a lot of juggling with everything the first semester for good reason-but keep your head down and read every NCLEX style question you can to get the hang of them and you will do fine.

And just so you all know, used books have the same info as the new books! I bought all prior editions for every book and it was never a problem.

@MizAweDat

Don't believe the hype. You will do fine as long as you do what is asked and be on time. The people that had problems and failed were the ones who did not do what was asked, had excuses why they couldn't do XYZ, and didn't adapt. Most of us in E/W took the days of exams off to study and that was highly successful for us but working is possible.

I credit my success to using Success Books, Saunders book, and Youtube-namely RegisteredNurseRn. Doing as many NCLEX questions so you get the hang of them is key to passing exams.

Thank you! I can honestly say it went by very fast and wasn't as bad as people said it was.

You will be fine!!!!

Makes a lot of sense. Question,besides December to January did you have any other days off during the year such as spring break etc?

Yes, we have spring break as the same time as the rest of the school. The week of finals, usually was an ATI day then the exam so that week was lighter. We also didn't have class or lab every day anymore after Funds. So after Concepts 1, it was always Tues/Thurs lecture days and clinicals Sa/Sun.

Wow. So you always have clinicals/classes on both weekend days. Never one or the other?

Concepts clinicals are both days. Specialty clinical are only 1 weekend day.

Day time people. Did you have clinical 2 days a week?

Hello did anyone actually have an attachment on the email just received from admin assistant (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)?
