CCBC FALL 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!

I just submitted my application to CCBCs Essex Day program for Fall '19. I immediately felt like I was going to puke! (hopefully this is a good indication?!) Anyway, I would love to connect with other applicants, so we can worry together.

Hoping to hear back from some of you!

Aly

I applied to Essex Evening and Weekends

4.0 GPA 82 on the TEAS

For those of you who got into Frostburg ATB, did you get a letter of acceptance to the school first then again a letter for the ATB? I got an admission letter for the “second bachelors degree program” but it doesn’t specify ATB?

Hi! My GPA was a 2.84 and 77 on the TEAS. Just so you know you don't need a 4.0 ? I mean it helps but I got in even though I was very nervous because of my GPA. I start evening/weekend in the fall at Essex. Good luck!

@Amr0327 (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) just sent an email on Monday that included plan of study, financial aid info, information about the CCBC-Frostburg ATB program, and a letter of acceptance that requires a signature. Also, he instructed everyone to pay the seat fee of $150.

@BagelBomber Im so glad to hear you're doing it all and is able to maintain. I'll be doing the nights and weekend option at CCBC along with FSU online classes. I was wondering if I could manage everything while working full time. So many people told me to not work if possible.

Thanks so much!! That helps me keep my mind together. I got accepted into HCC and we had to apply AFTER we got accepted to the RN program. So now I’m just anxiously waiting. I got the admission acceptance, just waiting on the ATB acceptance

It is definitely harder with everything else in life going on, but it's really about maintaining organization. GET A PLANNER! My planner is my lifeline and I have it with me at nearly all times. The one I have has each month broken down, and then pages of week-long breakdowns so I can write things in more detail. So I'll write something like "218 Due" on the month calendar and then I can flip to that week to find the assignment. I also have a section for notes on the month calendar where I write abbreviated assignment names (like "218 Reflection 1") and a box for me to check off once it's finished. Good luck- it's tough but it will totally be worth it and you will honestly learn so much!

hey guys has anyone heard back from the wait list yet?

Hello all,

Somehow I lost my acceptance email with the information to orientation. Does anyone have that information on date, time, and location? Thanks!

Hello @Bellaxo09

If you're doing evenings/weekends the first orientation is 6/4/19 from 6pm until 9pm. The SHP orientation is on 8/16/19 from 8am until 12:30 pm. I'm not sure if the same days and hours apply to the day program.

@MizAweDat

I'm graduating in 3 weeks from E/W and worked FT the entire time, 4.0 in all Frostburg classes and passed all CCBC with flying colors.

Frostburg classes are the least of your worries. You can do this, but you have to have a plan NOW and organize your life the best you can before August.
