  1. I bought all of the books but I found them through Facebook market place for SO cheap. They are the older versions but work just fine. All the books in the packet they give at orientation are required for funds. That being said I only used them when I was sure of a topic or citing them in papers. I’ve used them the most in completing clinical paperwork. You can get by mostly with PowerPoints for the actual class. So I would suggest trying to find them all but you definitely need the funds book, nursing diagnosis, medication book, med surg. You can also find them pretty cheap as pdf. My tips are make time for studying. The program is different than any prerequisite you have taken and you can’t study the same. As long as you put the time in studying you will be fine. And do practice questions! Definitely get the test for success and fundamentals success for test question practice! I replied on the post underneath your question.
  2. I’m in days at Essex, we have class Monday and Wednesday 9-12. Tuesday health assessment 9-10:30 and lab from 11-12:30 or 1-2:30, if you aren’t ATB at Towson. You have lab Thursday OR Friday 8:30-12 for the first 7 weeks and then clinical Thursday AND Friday for 7-12 pm LTC 4 days and 7-1pm AC 6 days. There are lots of days at the end of the semester get switched around and days and times are switched.
  3. Okay I am in the Days program and I don't see an assignment due. We start 08/26, so a bit more time to complete the readings.
  4. What assignment are you talking about? I have completed most of the reading, just by skimming. Almost done with dosage but not super worried about that as our tests are much later in the sememster. You will get it done!! :)
  5. Yes we had our orientation today and they gave us a handout with all required books for the entire course.
  6. Hello all, for those of you that have already completed the program or even just a few semesters, did you need the access codes for Contemporary Nursing and Nursing Diagnosis Handbook? Those are the only two that say w/Access on the required books for the courses. Just trying to see if I could buy used, or if it’s better to buy new with the access code. Thanks in advanced for the info!!
  7. Hello did anyone actually have an attachment on the email just received from admin assistant (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)? My email did not. I wanted to check before I call and let them know.
  8. I haven’t heard anything. I did the same as you, send my email. So just waiting. I would like something more formal but I guess since I have no other choice I’ll be waiting. Lol
  9. I just got an email with my acceptance. I would suggest to anyone that has applied to Frostburg to email the nursing advising and you would probably hear back quickly about the decision.
  10. I just got an email back saying that me forwarding the acceptance email was perfect and they would be sending it to the correct place. Did you do that? I had to send it to [email protected].
  11. Nothing yet! Would like to hear from them soon.
  12. Hi has anyone heard from Frostburg ATB? I got an email about a month ago asking that I submit my acceptance letter to them once I was in a associates program. I did forward the email, but I wasn't sure if they did not have the information from CCBC yet. Just ready to know about that portion of the program.
  13. I just checked my account and I have a seat fee for fall 2019. I applied for Essex days program. Good luck to everyone!
