CCBC Fall 2014 RN program

Published

Hello I just took my TEAS and scored a proficient at 75& and my GPA is 3.67. I really hope I get in. I figured I would start a thread :)

I'm so excited to find out and move on! I already signed up for CPR for health professionals at the Catonsville campus May 10th. I was wasn't really nervous about their decision until recently- knowing that any day I can hear something! I'm going to have to block Simon from my computer.

I love your screen name!

Thanks- It's pretty much true....especially now!

Oh jiminy cricket! C'mon already!

Lol! You girls are too funny! Mine still says "Complete and Ready for Review". I was hoping to know today, heck, I was hoping to know yesterday! BTW - someone earlier mentioned being in two required classes hurting their chances; I was in micro last semester with someone that got into the program and she was also enrolled in A&P II at the time of her acceptance. She said her TEAS score was really good which is why she thought she got accepted. I think it all depends on who else is in the pool.

From what I understand, being in required classes can hurt a little. If there are two students with similar GPAs and TEAS scores but one in still in required classes the person that already completed the class would typically be admitted first. It really does depend on the pool of candidates. CCBC admits a smaller class than some of the other nursing schools which also makes the application process difficult.

I heard that simon will say "acceptance letter sent" for those admitted. for those wait listed or not admitted at all simon will just say "letter sent"

The CCBC catalog in the mail today..

I've never heard of that at all. Where did you hear that from?

Someone at the shp admissions office. She said they changed the language as of this cycle.

Well there's no misconstruing that! Now I'm scared. This is the absolute worst waiting game ever. Thx For The Info

Popping in again because nursing acceptances are awesome :-) In the past, Simon would say "SHP Decision Made," or something to that effect. It is true that you can potentially see a seat fee posted before you receive your acceptance letter, so that's another way to celebrate.

Good luck to you all! :-)
